LYLA'S POV
“What do you want to talk about”. I asked him after he drag me into the private room, i don't get it. haven't he found his true love? what does he want from me now?.
“Why have you been avoiding me? did i do something wrong ?“. He asks holding my both hands.
I can't believe he has the nerve to ask me that.
“Fine i won't avoid you again “ it's better to just clear everything once and for all.
he took a deep breath, and was about to say something when i speak again cutting him short.
“Lucas let's break up “ i said he took a step back,then move forward again.
LUCAS POV
she wants to break up, did i do something wrong? I haven't done anything.
i was confused that i can even come up with anything to say. I finally found my voice after thirty seconds of silence.
“Lyla, baby, did i do something wrong? tell me I'll apologize, I'll fix it okay please don't break up with me okay?“ i said holding her hand again with my shaking hand.
she freed her hand from mine and was about to leave.
No way i just found her after five years of searching, how can i just let her leave like this, i fell on my knees and said.
“Lyla am sorry although i don't know what i did wrong but am sorry i promise i won't do it again, i promise don't leave okay?“. i said with tears running down from my eyes.
“Lucas you are here for your true love right?“ she asked without looking back.
“Yeah but”
“I see since you already found her let's not drag this any longer, i won't be anyone subtitles.“ then she left without even looking back. when have i ever treat her as a stand in for anyone.
What exactly does she mean by that?..
she won't even allow me to explain.
LYLA'S POV
i left Lucas in the cafeteria alone, am afraid if i stay there one more minutes,i might change my mind.
“What Luna said repeat in my head again, since he is here for his first love why is he still messing with me?“.
i don't know why but seeing him on his knees make my heart break, it's hurts so much.
Don't he has a first love he can't forget? why is he still unwilling to let me go? does he think am a pushover?.
NEXT MORNING
Lucas don't come to class today, and i kinda miss him.
Lyla what are you doing you shouldn't be having any inappropriate thought about someone who doesn't even have you in his heart.
“Lyla you came early this morning, what's up “ Betty and Luna show up at the door.
“i wake up early today” i said hugging her and then Luna.
“i haven't seen Lucas today, he's not here?“
She asked looking around.
“How did you know he's not here?“ i asked looking curious she noticed him so quickly.
Those two are like fire and water never get along.
“Of course i know, that pest, his like a magnet, he goes where ever you go. so clingy.“ She said rolling her eyes.
I smiled remembering how clingy he is, even when going to the school club he'll say.
“ baby, you have to call or message me at least every thirty minutes if not I'll come looking for you.“ i smile.
I really miss him but he's not mine, i have no right to miss him.
“Oh please don't even talk about that guy he came home dead drunk yesterday and keeps saying,” “ baby please don't leave me okay i really can't live without you” he cry all day before finally falling asleep, now he's got a fever this morning, the doctor said it was serious.“ Luna who have been silent since she came in finally spoke.
I stand up from where i was sitting .
“ What did you just said? Lucas has a fever?“ i asked facing her now, Lucas has a fever and it serious.
“Yeah “. She said looking at me.
I carry my bag in a hurry and went straight to their house.
