The sun lazily peeked through the curtains of the spacious, sunlit bedroom, casting a warm, golden hue across the room. As the morning light flooded in, it illuminated the tranquil face of a beautiful woman lying peacefully in a cosy bed strewn with cushions and a soft quilt.
Her long lashes fluttered open with a slight stir, revealing a pair of captivating, green eyes that glistened in the sunlight. She stretched languidly, her movements graceful and fluid, as if dancing with the morning itself. A gentle smile played on her lips as she relished the comfort of her bed, cherishing those last moments of tranquillity before the day unfolded.
"Good morning," she said in a raspy morning voice as she stretched her arms.
Then, with a sudden realization, she bolted upright, her eyes widening as she glanced at the clock on the nightstand. "Oh no!" she exclaimed softly, realizing that she had overslept. The previous night had been a whirlwind of activity in her new apartment.
The memory of cleaning, and setting up her new space rushed back to her. She had stayed up late, fervently, organising her things and watching a movie with Stacy they decided to watch one but they ended up watching three before they finally decided to call it a night.
She ran her fingers through her hair, gathering the loose waves into a loose, tousled bun atop her head, a few stray tendrils framing her face delicately.
Dressed comfortably in her favourite pyjamas – a soft, oversized shirt paired with comfortable leggings – she moved across the bed to sit up, despite the morning disarray. Her movements were interrupted by a gentle knock on the door, followed by the sound of it creaking open.
Stacy stood there, holding a wooden tray adorned with an assortment of breakfast delights. The aroma of freshly brewed coffee intertwined with the scent of warm pastries and fresh fruits, creating an enticing symphony that filled the room.
"Smells good, will be back in a minute," Serena said as she took a sniff of the mouthwatering aroma of the freshly baked pastries and hurried to the bathroom with a towel in hand.
"Be quick before it turns cold" Stacy shouted with a laugh as she took a bite of the strawberry.
You should consider releasing a new album, you know," Serena said as she munched onto the last bite of her pastry, relinquishing its flavour.
"And you should consider launching your designs, you know," Stacy said, mimicking her tone as she picked up the tray and made her way towards the kitchen to clean up the mess.
"Maybe it's time to follow my passion"Her whisper lingered in the air, carrying a weight of contemplation as she appeared lost in deep thought.
"Did you bake the waffles?" she enquired, raising her voice at her back.
"No, I did not, why do you ask so?" she shouted back from the kitchen.
"It's just that, it tasted.... familiar?" she mumbled hesitantly.
"Glad you noticed" she responded softly, as a smile played on her lips. But this went unheard by the person that was munching on the waffles.
The mall buzzed with energy as streams of people traversed its bustling corridors. Glowing storefronts adorned with vibrant displays beckoned passersby with promises of sales and new arrivals. The air hummed with a medley of chatter, laughter, and the faint melody of background music.
Bright lights illuminated the spacious atrium, casting a welcoming glow upon the myriad of shops that lined its perimeter. The scent of freshly brewed coffee intermingled with the sweet aroma of cinnamon drifting from a nearby bakery, creating an enticing fragrance that lingered in the air.
The central courtyard boasted a fountain adorned with colourful coins, where people tossed wishes while snapping selfies to capture the moment. Nearby, a group gathered around a street performer, mesmerized by their melodious tunes and skilful tricks.
Food courts resonated with the sounds of sizzling grills and the aroma of diverse cuisines from around the world. Patrons lounged on comfortable chairs, relishing their meals while engaging in animated conversations or checking their phones.
"Woah I never knew this place existed"
Her eyes widened in awe, and a gasp of wonder escaped her lips. Her head swivelled in a slow, mesmerized circle, capturing the grandeur of the colossal mall in its entirety. The vast expanse sprawled before her, a maze of shops and vibrant storefronts stretching out as far as the eye could see. The sheer size and bustling activity of the place left her speechless.
Stacy and she came to this mall called 'CosmoVibe Emporium' to hang out. They had just entered the mall and were yet to explore but she was already liking the ambience, the laughter, the bustling and everything.
"Are you sure nobody would recognise you? Serena asked as she brought her attention back to her.
"Not me but 'Us', To remind you, you were the highest-paid model two years ago" She informed scoffing.
"Yeah but it's been two years" she murmured, noticing how time has flown.
But what they did not notice was that a pair of eyes had been following them since they entered the mall.
