The person raised his hands in surrender as he walked into the room before sitting on the couch. "I would not have disturbed but Nanna is at the reception desk asking if you are here" the man replied nonchalantly as he chewed on a gum. His hands were crossed behind his neck as he leaned on the couch sitting comfortably with his legs spread. Unlike any other employee or anyone in the building, he was dressed rather casually with slim-fit dark jeans and a loose crisp white t-shirt paired with a pair of stylish sneakers and a minimalist watch.
"Hey Felix, What's up?" the woman asked mustering up a cheerful tone after she arranged her tousled demeanour as she took to sit beside him.
"Not much, just trying to train my pet fish to swim. He seems pretty good at learning fast, how about you?" the man named Felix replied as his eyes met with the person standing still.
"I will be back," he said as he shook off his trance and turned and headed for his Nanna.
Felix hummed in response as he turned his attention back to her, where she was commenting on how witty he was and that she liked her jokes.
"Why not me then?" he asked facing her directly with a serious look as he inched closer, looking directly into her eyes.
But before she could react to it, she saw him backing off with a huge grin on his face as he stood up, fishing out his phone as he stepped out of the room.
"What does he mean?" she mumbled under her breath as her expression shifted and her gaze narrowed.
"You brat, you forgot that you have your Nanna still alive, haven't you?" An elderly woman in her 70s sat opposite a man none other than the CEO himself.
They were now seated in the VIP lounge as a tray of refreshments was being bought by the cafeteria staff.
Perched high above the cityscape within the opulent confines of a skyscraper, the VIP lounge on the expansive balcony epitomizes luxury and sophistication. Combined with the greeny-breathy interior designed with indoor plants, the gentle breeze created a calm atmosphere as the duo sat on the couch with tufted detailing.
His Nanna looked younger than her age with no stoop and as much as she seemed to scold her grandson, in actuality she just missed him. Who woulda have thought that their boss would be scolded like any other? The attendant however did not dare to show the slightest bit of laugh as her cheeks were already flushed from admiring her boss.
Dressed in a finely tailored business suit, he exuded an air of sophistication. His attire, a charcoal-grey suit paired with a crisp white shirt and a silk tie, accentuated his tall, lean frame. The suit, expertly fitted, showcased his broad shoulders and tapered waist. His dark, neatly combed hair framed a chiseled face, adorned with a hint of a well-groomed beard. The ensemble was completed with polished leather shoes, adding a touch of elegance to his overall appearance.
"I'm sorry Nanna" He sighed showing genuine contrition as the attendant left the room.
"Well you have to make up for it, son" the elderly woman retorted indifferently as she sipped her cup of hot coffee.
"Alright, What may I do for you, my lady? It was as if she was waiting for her grandson to ask that question and it was proved right when she responded instantly.
"make love"
Noticing that her grandson was unresponsive with a blank look as if he did not get what she meant, she was about to elaborate when he said," With who?"
"With Felix" retorted the elderly woman with a tight smile as she glared at him.
"I would have loved to Nanna but he is not into trying new things" he stated sighing, as if complaining how life was unfair.
"You are definitely my grandson, no DNA test required." the elderly woman said shaking her head as she took another sip before keeping it down. "That humour can be only inherited by me," she said in a matter-of-fact tone.
"You know what I meant, I want to see my great-grandkid before I die, do you get it? Now be a good grand-son and fulfil the last wish of your sexy grandma and also come home whenever you get time if not make SURE to come for Christmas, that's not a request darling"
and With that, she took the last sip and departed for the sedan waiting for her.
"Noted ma'am" He shouted back a response with a chuckle.
But that was short-lived as he came into a dilemma as his grandma's words resounded in his mind.
"Grandkids? Your grandson will have to get you a new granddaughter-in-law before that" he thought, but this time, there was nothing but a concerned look on his face as he pursued his lips and his eyebrows furrowed into a deep frown.
How was he supposed to drop the news?
