" I want to give us a chance."
Once I had said this, all the sounds in the room had died. He had stopped laughing. He turned the other side, hence I did not know his expression. I wonder if I had said the wrong thing.
Slowly and cautiously he turned his face around. He had an expression that I was not able to read. His eyes were open wide. I realized that he was shocked. But I did not know if it was good or bad.
"Tell that again." He asked me. "You heard me," I said as I started to fiddle with my fingers. Why is he asking me to repeat again?
" I know. I want to hear it again." he said, still in a daze. I was wondering why he was asking me to say again but nonetheless I said it again.
