Anya plays back a rhythmic pulse that mirrors the leviathan’s signal, and the creature responds by submerging itself into the energy stream, stabilizing the node. Europa’s ice stops cracking, and the glowing glyphs on the moon’s surface begin to synchronize with the larger network.

Mars: A Fragile Alliance

Meanwhile, on Mars, Ivan, Rohan, and Commander Vex work frantically to stabilize the node as the tremors worsen. Vex begrudgingly admits his earlier defiance was misplaced.

“I thought I was protecting my people,” Vex mutters, securing a power relay. “Now I see I was just protecting my pride.”

“Calculations complete,” Sol replies. “Populated regions can be evacuated in 14 minutes with optimal coordination.”

Naira uses her device to broadcast instructions across local frequencies, guiding people to safety. In a final act of desperation, she channels the node’s excess energy back into the ocean, dissipating the tsunamis but weakening the node’s shield.

The Singularity Strikes

As the nodes synchronize across Earth, Mars, and Europa, the alien vessel’s shield briefly holds The Singularity at bay. However, the entity adapts, sending tendrils of dark energy to probe the network.

Ar’thelis warns, “The Singularity seeks the network’s core. If it succeeds, the balance will be undone, and all life within this system will perish.”

A Desperate Choice

Back on the Sol Ark, the team realizes they’re out of time. Naira presses for surrendering the fragments to the network. Ivan, still hesitant, finally relents.

“Fine,” Ivan says, his voice heavy with resignation. “But if this backfires, it’s on all of us.”

Using the alien device, the team releases control of the fragments. The network’s energy surges, forming a radiant web across the solar system. The shield strengthens momentarily, but The Singularity retaliates with a powerful strike, shattering part of the barrier.
