Chapter two (2) Inside the chamber of king Ebila: predecessor to king kuro. The king is seen seated on the throne and guided by two hefty palace guards stationed at attention as they flanked the king on both sides as he engaged Eru, the duplicitous sorcerer of Amagbini kingdom in a delighted conversation. The setting of the palace is well to do with within it's own pride, but however, king kuro's chamber is a little bit modernized in comparison. As an orthodox tradition in ancient Africa, King Ebila is robed in an elegant reddish attire that covers up his left shoulder, knotted beneath the under of the same shoulder and crowned with the radiant beaded crown on his black-grayish colored head, and red enchanting beads dangling across his neck and also, he had wrist beads beads on both wrists: the king is a quinsential epitome of majesty! On the other hand, Eru, the chief priest of the kingdom is also seen garbed elegantly in his white regalia gown as the two friends engaged themselves in an interlocutory spree; although the formal is light-hearted, on the other hand, the latter is a psychopath. And there on the table across the chamber, gently laid a sparkling golden box: a very enticing sight of attraction never ever witnessed elsewhere in ancient Africa as it dazzles in a grandest fashion. ....my priest as you know very well, this box right here is a very precious antique of Amagbini, the great kingdom of our forefathers. through this priceless relic, kings had been earmarked to rule this great kingdom of our forefathers. The joyous king merrily exclaimed, while he deeply reflexed on the sweet memories of how the golden box have made him ascend the throne of great Amagbini kingdom. ********* The Golden box indeed had played a huge precursory role that accelerated the meteoric rise of the king to claim the throne of great Amagbini kingdom. Even though, the queen had since already been betrothed to him, even long before the demise of her father: the late immaculate king Koka, his predecessor. .....oh! king, may the spirits of our forefathers live forever! it been awhile since I last set my two eyes, on this the very precious Golden box. Indeed this is a priceless relic of the progenitors, and of a truth, in the past few decades, kings had been made just by a glance at this golden box. exclaimed, the so much duplicitous chief priest of the land. .....oh yes my priest, the Golden box have enthroned kings including my humble self in the past last decades in great Amagbini kingdom. And it also represents a symbol of peace that conglomerates all of the provinces that are subservient to the rule of the great Amagbini kingdom. the said( paused and continued) .....The golden box is so much germane for the existence of this kingdom that it represents the crest of authority that deters rebellion against this great kingdom, handed down to us by our great forerunners. The eager king added as he elucidated. ....My late father, used to call it the haven of the souls of the progenitors of the great Amagbini kingdom, because the spirits of every king: both past and present resides there of. said, the malicious chief priest, with a mischievous smile on his face. ......oh yes my priest, you are right. This is why the gods have always order for the search of the Golden box beneath the very terrifying underworlds in the forbidden forests, anytime the needs arises to crown a new king for Amagbini kingdom. Replied, the king. ... very true my king, the Golden box have indeed for this particular reason been so essential to great Amagbini kingdom. the very hypocritical chief priest, responded. ...Oh yes! the eyes of gods, our kingdom is so much blessed by the gods with such a priceless gifts in the Golden box..... the joyful king exclaimed as the sweet banters of about essence of the Golden box stretch for a long while between the duo. Then all of a sudden the chief priest momentarily dived into an entirely different matter that brewed tension in the heart of the king. ...... Amagbini is indeed betrothed with so much greatness, it is only a pity that the gods have bluntly declined our supplications for an eligible heir to ascend the throne of Amagbini through out all these long years of patiently waiting. The sorcerer mournfully pours out his heart, as he shocked his head and sighed in a deep breathe. ********** This unwarranted verbal jab from the chief priest, was indeed a very indelible wound to the Monarch's pride, as King Ebila was dumb founded and meddling with words for a short while before he could finally give a response. ........ it's the gods, and they knows what is right. the king responded, sullenly. poooooom! poooooom! poooooom!. *********** From the outsides of the chamber, the honk of the horns re-echoed in the atmosphere which were shortly afterwards, accompanied by the effervescent rhythmic accents from the joyful subjects of great Amagbini kingdom. ......long live the queen! the gracious mother of the mighty kingdom of Amagbini! long live! long live the prince! long livee!.The ever gregarious subjects of Amagbini kingdom welcomed queen ASAIBO and princess EBI ERE. ************ The Queen and her daughter: Princess Ebi Ere, had just returned back home, after a long diplomatic journey across the borders of Amagbini and her neighbouring kingdoms, as well as the subordinate provinces subservient to Amagbini. ************ Like an hitherto hopeless prey which had just been surprisingly let free by its benign predators, the king mustered a bit of relief in his heart. ......oh! they are back! my very gorgeous wife and daughter are back! exclaimed, the king. ...Ah! my king let us go and receive her in. that woman outside, have helped to quench great rebellions against Amagbini: both from her subordinates and neighboring kingdoms as well. said the chief priest, as both of ventured out of the chamber, accompanied by the two palace guards to receive the queen and the princess to palace. ********* All hail the King! live forever, King of the mighty Amagbini kingdom! the cheerful crowd outside the chambers, hailed their King. ...Haaaaan izon! the king cheerfully exclaimed. ..... Inhaaan!. the large gathering, shouted in unison.
