“Ivy, where were you?” I was startled by Rachel’s voice.
She came from behind.
Does she have to do this every single time? Mini-me overcame the shock faster than me.
“I, um, I was lost,” I responded hesitantly.
“You better stick by my side,” she snarled and turned to Rihaan.
“Hey, Richhy. You are here and I’m here searching for you everywhere,” she said and went to hug him.
Whattttttt??? HE IS RICHARD WALTER. NO NO NO NO NO NO NO… HOW CAN I BE WRONG? HE HAS TO BE RIHAAN, MY RIHAAN…
“What are you doing here by the way? Your father’s looking for you,” she added in a slutury tone.
“Um, I was just coming there,” he said still staring at me.
“Yea, by the way, this is my secretary, Ivy,” she said introducing me.
“Oh, ok. Hi! I’m Richard,” he said holding out his hand.
I took his hand for the hand shake. I suddenly felt a cold shiver run down my spine. The familiar feeling of warmth engulfed me, which was after an eternity.
Its him. He is Rihaan.
I had no doubt left. Only Rihaans’ touch can do these wonders to me. It had been so long that I had forgotten how he brings the feeling of home to me. He was my home.
“Ivy,” I replied hesitantly. I avoided looking into his eyes, cause for all I knew they would be the death of me one day. I looked anywhere but in those eyes.
I was very much aware of those orbs burning holes in me.
He finally let go of my hand. Five bloody long seconds of awkwardness from my side.
Ughhhhh
“Ma’am, can I have a minute with you please,” I said grabbing Rachel’s attention. She was practically drooling over him.
She gave me a filthy glare, not so happy with the attention I got from her oh-so-rich fiancé.
“Say here”
“Actually I wanted to head back to the resort.”
“And why would that be?”
“Personal issue,” I said slowly.
Lamest excuse ever, Ivy. My mind taunted.
“Fine. You can have the rest of your day off.”
I just can’t believe she bought that excuse.
“Thanks, thanks a lot Rach- I mean ma’am.”
“I hope you know your way back home.”
Whattt… how can she do this to me? Now I have to find my way on my own? Ughhhh.
“I’ll manage,” I managed to say.
“Cool.”
BITCHHHHHH...
I turned and was about to go when he spoke.
“Wait.”
I turned to look at him.
“I thought you had lost your way here, unless it was a purposeful bliss,” he added.
Oh crap! I had actually lost my way. How can I forget? And what is it with him. If he wants to avoid knowing me, then at least spare me the trouble of talking to me. Huhhh...
“I actually had lost my… way,” I responded, avoiding his piercing gaze.
“Hm… I’ll send someone to drop you in case you cause Rachel more trouble,” he said looking at Rachel.
What the f**k…..
“Yes, darling…??” he added. Rachel was still drooling over him. God!
Is she possessed by something…??? Too much staring going on…
“Whatever you say baby,” was her response.
This was it. I can’t stand their PDA anymore, which is by the way, poor display of affection here! Mini-me mocked.
Did he actually forget me? I wanted to ask him. I wanted to scream. How could he do this to me? Did those memories meant nothing to him? There were thousands of questions I wanted to ask but couldn’t. Tears were seeking their way out. It took every ounce of my strength to control myself.
Soon a man arrived. He was in his mid-forties, I guess. But when did he call for him?
“Sir,” he said and bowed.
Wooo…
“He’ll escort you to the exit and Simon will take you to the resort,” Rihaan said.
I just nodded in response.
I turned to walk behind the man who was escorting me.
I suddenly remembered I hadn’t thanked him.
I turned, only to see them kissing.
