"Did you hear that, Lilah?" Mrs Everdon called to me. Pulling me out of my daze.
"Uh, sorry." I mutter, dropping my head out of embarrassment. My cheeks flushed red as the class's eyes were on me.

"So, I was thinking..." Ally whispered to me.

"Benjamin has asked me to be his date for Pete's eighteenth birthday tomorrow night and he said he has a cousin from out of town coming for the weekend." she explained. I remained silent, pretending to listen to whatever Mrs Everdon was talking about.
