My heart pounded as I ran to meet Lilah. I knew that I had to say good bye and I didn't know when I would see her again. I felt like there was a weight in my stomach.
We will see her again. The Goddess will make it so. Jett said confidently. I struggled to believe him. Maybe this was punishment for my behavior with she-wolves before. Maybe Dad was right.
I could see her back fence and slowed to phase back into human form. Jett quickly began the process of popping joints and bones. I grabbed the pair of shorts I had carried in my mouth and slipped them on. I couldn't carry anything more.
