Meeting Mr. Right?

Mira I ran to our driver, Uncle Lee, who was having late coffee and asked him to come with me. An hour later, I got inside the store and order his sushi. I was waiting for it in one of the tables when someone tapped me on my left shoulder. I looked up and saw a handsome man smiling at me. He’s wearing a navy blue blazer with a white popover shirt, black khaki pants, and black loafers. “Can I help you?” “I think you dropped this.” He handed me my ID card. Oh shoot, I think I dropped it when I was frantically looking for my wallet at the counter. “Thanks,” I replied with a smile. I looked away but after a few seconds, I noticed he was still standing in the same spot. “Do you need anything from me?” “Yes,” he replied quickly. “What is it?” I asked curiously. I mean if he’s going to ask me to move to another seat, then he will get an attitude from me no matter how attractive he is. “Your heart.” “My what?” I was taken aback and it didn’t register in my brain. I was quick-witted and I learn fast, but his response was just out of the blue. He chuckled softly and gave me a dimpled smirk. Oh god, I think I’m going to get myself wet. But I’ve been in the entertainment industry for quite some time now and this looks like the usual scripted set-up some cheap show pulls. “Is this a prank?” I can see this good-looking man has confusion written on his face, but I’m not buying it. “Yeah, right okay,” I smiled sarcastically at him figuring I can ride whatever tricks he’s playing. “Do you mind if I sit down?” “Please sit.” I offered him the sit in front of me. “So, what’s your name?” Oh boy, this guy is persistent with his act. Sitting close to me, I can see some new details in him. Like he has a striking set of brown eyes, he is tan-skinned and looks tall even when sitting down. He has a friendly face that your mom will certainly like. A plus? Superb fashion sense. Checking him out before I answer, his show’s stylist did a great job with him. He fits the part of a hot millionaire bachelor they are making him appear to be. Of course, I’m a hundred percent sure he’s a model turned actor just like my boss. “Why do you want to know?” “Well, I want to know you better,” he sheepishly grinned at me. “Why?” “Because you look beautiful.” I was on the verge of laughing, but I tried my hardest to compose myself. “You know that’s kind of cheesy right? No girl in their right mind will fall head over heels with this conversation,” I told him boldly and he looked at me with his mouth slightly open. Yeah, figures. At this point, I heard my order number is called on the counter. “Piece of advice? If you want to prank someone make sure to make your lines more creative,” I said to him with half-smile on my face. As I got up, I lightly tapped his should twice before heading to the counter to grab my order. After grabbing my order, I headed straight to the parking lot. I was about to get in the vehicle when I heard a man shouting behind me. “Wait! Wait!” The man I met earlier was frantically jogging to where I am. Are there more cameras in this parking lot? Shouldn’t he have moved on to his next victim when I went out of the store? “I’ll tell you this is not a prank.” Ugh, I just can’t help being skeptical but end our conversation I resorted to just agreeing with what he said. “Okay, it’s not a prank then,” I said shaking my head unbelieving but agreeing. “Bye.” “Wait, just hear me out please.” This better is good. “Fine,” I replied getting impatient. “Make it quick ‘cause we’re running late.” “Since you don’t have the time now why don’t we make a plan?” “What?”    “Can I have your number?” This time I cannot contain my laughter anymore and laughed at his face. That confusion trick he’s doing is getting old and funny to me. “Sure,” I said smirking. He handed me his phone and I typed random numbers I can think of. If he calls, I’ll not be the person at the end of the line. “Here,” I said and gave him back his phone. I can see he’s checking if I gave him an actual number. I was guffawing in my head just by looking at how this is what it takes to make his mission complete. “Okay, bye!” Without any more follow-ups, I went into the van and slam the door shut. We headed back to the set with a goofy smile on my face.
