At seven in the morning, Sebastian was brushing his teeth when he caught these few words on the news, and his heart skipped a beat. He rushed out of the bathroom and stared at the TV, hanging on to every word until the report ended and the anchor moved on to other stories.
"Oh, God!"
He threw down his toothbrush, quickly wiped his mouth with a towel, and bolted up the stairs to his friend Ethan's room. Grabbing a pillow from the foot of the bed, he tossed it right at him, yelling, "Wake up!"
"What's going on?" Ethan blinked, clearly annoyed at being jolted out of sleep. "Is the world ending?"
"There was a shooting last night. I need you to check up on the victims' details for me."
