Serena I was awake before the scream left my throat. But it still came. Loud. Ripped from somewhere deep inside. My own voice didn’t even sound like mine anymore. It was cracked, hoarse, full of something raw that refused to die. The dream was the same again. Ropes around my wrists. The triplets’ voices whispering in circles, calling me mate, saying my name like it belonged to them. Laughing as they reached for my belly. Their hands were cold, but I felt fire where they touched. And then— Gone. I blinked into the darkness of my room, chest heaving. Sweat soaked my shirt. My hands trembled. I couldn’t breathe. My wolf whimpered inside me, small and afraid.
