Alpha Keith POV I stood at the edge of the pit, looking down at what remained of the last fight. The body hadn’t been removed yet. The other fighters would see it there, and it would only increase the stakes. Let them remember what happened when things went wrong. When they disappointed me. I walked into my office; the door closed behind me with a quiet thud. The room still smelled like blood. I didn’t have it cleaned. Mistakes deserved to linger. “They’re getting bold.” Her voice slid through the room, soft and smooth. Too calm. Too practiced for the environment we currently stood in. “I know.” I didn’t look at her yet. My attention stayed on the pit, visible through the large window. I focused on the blood soaked into the dirt, on the reminder of what happened when control slipped
