Although Hunter looked super confident he could separate the boys on his own, it's not very easy for him. Luc gives him an elbow right in the mouth and takes that advantage to push Asher to the ground, gets on top of him and then gives him a punch in the face.

I gasp and squeeze a hand in my throat trying to undo the knot I feel there. Asher's head crashed into the ground and even though he just shook off and kept fighting, a blow that strong is worrying for anyone, whether a sergeant or not.
Things get intense after that, Asher seems to get even angrier. He puts both hands on Luc's neck and pushes him off his body like he’s a rag doll.
