Once the sun is hidden and we have free time, Xavier, Eva and I walk to our cabin talking about my drama with the sergeant. Then I see my ex-mother-in-law parking her car and getting out of it. I tell my friends to go ahead and I stay there for a few minutes, making myself cry and waiting for her to come closer, then I start walking slowly, pretending I'm a lost puppy in the big bad world. “Crystal, hello!” She greets when she looks at me, and runs so close to me with a smile, until she notices my busted mouth and gasps in horror, “What the hell happened to you?” “Your son happened to me. We were fighting again, like when he knocked me unconscious, but this time he was harder on me,” I explain, with my pitiful voice, and wipe my fake tears away. Patricia looks at me with her mouth open
