I was born in a family of religious people. Bata pa lang ako, palagi na akong pinapaalalahanan ng pamilya ko, especially my Dad which is a pastor in our church back at the province.
"Always be a good example," they say. Those simple words became a burden to me. Kaya siguro tumakas ako sa probinsya, dahil hindi ko kayang buhatin 'yong burden na iniwan sa akin ng pamilya ko.
Without them knowing, I hid my sexuality for almost my whole life. A lot of times, I wanted to speak it out. Who wants to hold a burden forever? Wala. Pero sa tuwing nakikita ko kung gaano sila hindi sumasang-ayon sa mga katulad ko, lalo akong nawawalan ng tyansa na sabihin sa kanila 'yong totoo.
