She laughed. God! The best sound ever. I looked at her, and mid-laughter, her eyes locked with mine. “Still cold?” I whispered. “A little,” she replied. I opened my arm. Waited. She slowly came into my space. I was sure that my eyes were glowing. Her head rested on my shoulder, and my hand rested on her arm. “Thanks,” she sighed. I slowly ran circles on her arm, and then caressed her hair. She looked up at me from time to time. I could feel it. In those moments, I forced myself to keep my eyes on the screen. I have never enjoyed a movie date like this one. Usually I went through the motions: food, movie, chat, and then f**k. It was always about the result -f*****g. Not today. Not with her. Today it was about this, us. Us. What a f*****g terrifying
