“What?” I almost yelled over the music,
“Your secret,” she said, and I chuckled.
“And I thought you would forget all the fun.” I decided to give her a playful answer, mixed with a wink.
“Oh, No… You are not getting away,” she said, and I laughed.
I took a swig out of my lemonade and waited for her to say something else. She didn't. For the record, she is quite an interesting woman, she pushes without pushing, she sets boundaries without making them barriers… and her smile can disarm an entire army.
“I grew up alone…” I shrugged my shoulders, and she nodded.
“Every only son grows up that way,” she pressed, and I laughed.
I didn't want to reveal my deepest, darkest secret. I couldn't, not this early, now that I had finally found someone that I really like.
