“Is that a second question?” I lifted my eyebrows, and she shook her head.
“No, it is a follow-up question, maybe an addendum to my first one…” she smirked. I conceded, because there was no way I would back off from this challenge.
“Honestly?” I paused,
“That is the whole point…” she said, and I smiled.
“I was a hyperactive kid… too much energy, and I had bad grades…” I confessed, and she looked at me with curiosity. “Doctors wanted to medicate me; they said I had ADHD,” I paused, remembering the way my mother had looked when she got the diagnosis. “They said I needed it for me to be able to focus and be someone in life…” I paused, “I was too young, but I was aware that something had happened, and that I was the cause of my mother's sadness…” I took a deep breath.
