Chapter FiveKeith was shaking as he and Casey got to the hospital. Julia had been in an accident. He could only remember that before Tahlia’s voice faded away. What if Julia was badly hurt? Would she have lost the baby?
He knew this panic wasn’t going to help anyone, but he couldn’t help himself.
Casey had taken charge immediately. Their colleagues had been called to the scene, but Casey had managed to wrangle the two of them going to the hospital. Apparently, the injuries weren’t bad and it was just a precaution, but that didn’t settle Keith. He wouldn’t feel comfortable until he saw Julia for himself to know she and the baby were okay.
