CHAPTER 4: I hate you!!

1286 Words
Early the next morning, Kate got up to prepare breakfast so that everyone could eat before stepping out. She went to Haness's room to wake her up. She tapped Haness, and Haness mumbled, half asleep, and opened her eyes suddenly. "Ugh!!! How dare you touch me!! You dirty woman! So disgusting," Haness shouted in anger and disgust. "What did you just call me? I'm sure you know if I want you out, I can throw you out at any time!" Kate was angry. "Throw me out, you say? This is my fiancé's house; he will never allow you to do that!!" Haness smirked. "You're an i***t for thinking that way," Kate said in disgust. "What did you call me?" Haness said, slapping Kate. "What the hell is going on here? Haness, you must be stupid. Did you just slap my mom?" Shane, who heard the noise from outside, came in angrily at Haness. "Yes, I slapped your mom!" Haness said confidently; but before she could finish, Kemmy, who just came in, faced her with two slaps. "Haness, you are more disgusting than anything! You are just a curse, Haness!" "Shane, did you hear that?" Haness said, expecting Shane to side with her. "Haness, you're more of a prison to me! Very inconsiderate, selfish, proud, and arrogant. You know what? I've had enough of your stupidity," Shane said, his voice raised at Haness for the first time. "Pack your things and get out of this house! Get out of my life! We're done!" Shane threw her bags out. "You will regret this, Shane!" she said as she left the house. Shane knelt down and apologized to his parents, especially his mom, for everything Haness did to her. Kate hugged Shane and was grateful he was no longer interested in Haness. Kate was the happiest; she finally got rid of Haness from both their home and Shane's life. Kemmy went to school very happy that day. She was in a good mood. Everyone could see how happy Kemmy was. She entered the school and found Sonia. She greeted Sonia as they began to talk. "You seem to be very happy today, Kemmy," Sonia said smiling. "Am I?" Kemmy pretended. "Yes, Kemmy. Let's go to class before the teacher comes in," Sonia said as they walked into the class. Luckily for them, the teacher hadn't entered yet. The students were chatting with each other as they waited for the teacher. Kemmy seemed to be the happiest, smiling so much. Girls envied Kemmy because she was beautiful, and the guys admired her. Christian and his friends were chatting. All of a sudden, he got distracted as he saw Kemmy smiling so genuinely. "She's beautiful!" he muttered, still staring at her. He suddenly wanted to play with her. He picked up one of her notes without her knowledge and hid it. "Hey, Christian," Cassie approached him. Christian wasn't looking at her. "I don't know if you're busy; I wanted to talk to you before the teacher arrives," Cassie said nervously but became happy as he answered positively. "Sure," Cassie tried all her best to say funny things or interesting things to get his attention, but the whole class looked at her as crazy. They laughed at her. "The hell!" Cassie said, feeling embarrassed. "Is it true that you're trying to get me to like you?" Christian said as he smirked. The whole class laughed at Cassie. "Whatever," Cassie rolled her eyes and left. "Why is everyone laughing?" the teacher said as she entered, and the class became orderly. "Alright, class, I won't be teaching today, but checking the notes of everyone." Everyone submitted their notes to the teacher except Kemmy, who was still searching for hers in her bag. "Kemmy, where's your book?" the teacher asked, waiting for hers. "Sorry, ma'am, I'm still searching for it," she said, checking everywhere. The teacher got angry. "Are you that careless? Didn't your mother teach you to take care of your things?" Mrs. Sylvia muttered as the whole class laughed. This got Kemmy angry. "No, ma'am, not my mom. You have no right to...". "Oh, shut up!" Mrs. Sylvia cut her words. "How dare you talk to me like that! Are you insane? Meet me at the principal's office!" Mrs. Sylvia said, leaving the class angrily. Kemmy followed her, feeling sorry for what she said. "What's your name?" the principal asked her. "Kemmy Harrison," Kemmy answered "Kemmy Harrison, how dare you talk to your teacher that way?" the principal scolded. "This could lead to suspension. Do you know that?" "Sorry, ma'am, I promise never to repeat it again," Kemmy apologized. The principal's expression softened slightly. "Very well, I'll let you off with a warning this time. But next time, there will be consequences." Mrs. Sylvia, the teacher, spoke up. "Ma'am, she also didn't bring her notes for review." The principal's gaze turned stern. "Kemmy, bring your notes to my office by evening. If you don't, you'll receive zero points." "Yes, ma'am," Kemmy nodded. "Enable to bring your book to my house before evening time or you'll have no score at all!" Mrs. Sylvia added harshly. Christian felt guilty, realizing he had Kemmy's missing notes. As she walked out, Christian approached her, returning her notes. "Where did you find this?" Kemmy asked. "I...I found it on the floor," Christian replied. Kemmy's expression turned skeptical. "You expect me to believe that?" "I took it by mistake. I'm sorry," Christian admitted. Kemmy's anger flared. "You knew where my notes were when I was insulted and flogged! When I was flogged! And here you are apologizing?!" Christian explained, "It was all my fault. I shouldn't have done that." Kemmy rebuked, "Tell me you're sorry again and you'll get the slap you've never received in your whole life!" Christian apologized again. "I'm sorry." Kemmy was furious. "To hell with you!" She collected her notes and stormed off. Christian followed, suggesting, "I'll report myself to Mrs. Sylvia." Kemmy refused. "No need!" As Kemmy walked home, the rain began. Christian caught up, offering his jacket. "What are you...?" Kemmy started. "Shhh," Christian whispered, seating beside her quietly. The rain seemed endless, and it was almost dark. "I think we should walk home because the rain might not end now," Christian suggested. Kemmy agreed. As they walked, there was an unbearable silence between them. Someone had to break it. "I'm sorry for speaking rudely at you earlier," Kemmy spoke first. "I'm also sorry for taking your book," Christian apologized. Kemmy smiled. "I forgive you." They reached close to Kemmy's house. "Thank you for this," Kemmy said, returning Christian's jacket. "It's okay, you can keep it," Christian smiled. Inside the rain, they walked down the street together. As they neared Kemmy's house, Shane spotted them holding hands. "Awwn so sweet!" Shane teased. Kemmy quickly let go. Christian smiled and greeted Shane before leaving. Shane asked Kemmy, "So you already have a date?" "No! He's not my date!" Kemmy said. "I'll find out soon," Shane smirked. That night, Kemmy couldn't sleep, replaying the day's events. Christian also struggled to sleep, thinking about Kemmy. His phone rang; it was a video call from Chris. "Dude where were you today?" Chris asked puzzled. Christian explained everything. Chris reacted, "Bro, you have a crush on that weird and silly girl?" Christian admitted uncertainty. "I don't know yet, Chris." Chris persuaded, "Cassie is the right girl for you—beautiful, rich, and hot. Kemmy's not enough for you." Christian countered, "That's what I like about Kemmy; she's different, hard to get, has self-respect and dignity." Chris remained disappointed. "Think it over, Christian. Cassie's perfect for you, and Kemmy doesn't like you." Christian thought about all that Chris said.
