I opened the door to the backrooms and was immediately greeted by the smell of hairspray, perfume, and fruit flavored vape smoke. Candy and Yuna were getting ready for tonight's party, and based on how empty it was still, we were still waiting on Emma and Irene to show up.
“Evening girls.” I said as I walked to my makeup area.
“Hey Luci! How's your day going?” Candy asked while wiping her bubblegum pink lipstick off her teeth.
“Ehh, same old, same old.” I said, setting my bike helmet and keys on the table. “How ‘bout you? How's Bryan doing?”
She groaned out in frustration at my question.
“That little monster dropped my new YSL foundation in the toilet yesterday. I only got to use it once and had to throw it out because his dumb daddy doesn't know how to flush.” She ranted out. “That tiny bottle cost me forty bucks. So for now, I'm back to that drug store bullshit.”
“Hey, you leave my drugstore makeup alone!” Yuna butted in while pinning her up black pigtails. “Besides, why do you need that expensive s**t? You know Alex is just gonna smear it all over your bedsheets by the time you get home.”
We all burst out into laughter at that statement. Candy's boyfriend, Alex, is pretty ravenous with her once she steps through the door.
I guess being the boyfriend of a dancer has its perks. Especially with the pheromone perfume we all wear.
Well, all except for me.
Our club, the Scarlet dream, isn't like the typical strip club, because it technically isn't. It's one of the most exclusive clubs in our city, catering mostly to the richest men who have secret fetishes and airtight reputations to uphold, so damn near no one knows of its existence.
Oh, and it's run by vampires who not only pay us to dance and show off for them, but also pay us for a small drink of our blood based on how strong our pheromones turn them on.
Everyone who works here is a vampire, or is employed by one and has already gone through the secret keeping process, i.e. has a mental charm put on them so if they ever tried to speak about them to someone not in the know, they immediately forget the fact that they work for one.
Kind of crazy, but it has yet to be proven ineffective.
For tonight, I selected a black and dark violet lace corset with a matching lace bra underneath, burlesque style ruffle black panties, and stockings with violet garter belts as my money maker tonight.
Candy picked a pink sequin bikini style set under a cotton candy babydoll nightie for her look tonight and Yuna was in her punk school girl outfit with a red plaid skirt, chains, fishnets, and a moto jacket over a black bra and tie.
“Should I do pigtails too?” Candy asked Yuna while messing with her red curly hair.
“Hell no! That's my trademark!” Yuna stated, flaunting her longer black hair.
“Toss me your collar real quick. And do a high ponytail to keep your neck exposed.” I added in. “Remember, we're dancing for ‘creatures of the night', so an open neck will make them throw more money at you.”
She hummed and did as I told her. Being a vampire myself gives me a better insight to what they want to see and what will get them to spend more money for it.
“Take off the collar on stage too. Throw it to Frances Holloway.” I said to her as I grabbed a pin from my bag. “If you wanna afford the big thing of YSL foundation next, get his attention. He drops a fortune every time he comes here.”
“Wait, isn't he one of your regulars though?” Candy asked, tossing her collar to me.
“Yeah, but he pissed off Tina. According to her, he's been trying to convince her to let him ‘have me’ for a night. Right now, he's on probation from my section.” I explained as I lined my eyes. “He's gonna be seated in yours, so take advantage of it. The guys an absolute horndog with an endless money wad.”
“Damn, you really get all the rich ones attention.” Yuna stated. “Got any coming my way?”
“Yeah, Eric Karazaki. Toss me yours too.” I replied. “He's still blacklisted from my section, so Trey is putting him in yours tonight. Do the same trick and he'll blow a few hundreds your way.”
Manipulating thirsty and horny vampires is a quick way for us to get cash, but since I'm a little more popular here, they don't get the chance to make as much as I do, so I help out when I can.
I set my makeup brushes to the side and used my hairpin to prick my finger enough to draw a drop of my blood to spread along the lining of each of their collars.
Both Yuna and Candy are vampire employed humans, so they can't smell what the others do when they smell my blood.
It's pretty ironic since vampires are more drawn the smell of human blood, but I guess that's what happens when your blood is basically made of love potion #9.
