Chapter 8Dane had agreed to meet Guy for dinner every night after work. Rick still went to Guy’s apartment in the morning to help him, but Dane was there to cook him dinner and put him to bed. Each time Guy asked him to stay the night, Dane gently said no. It hurt him to deny Guy anything, but he knew it was the right thing to do. Guy would understand that, eventually, and maybe even thank him for it.
The nights they spent together were a little pleasant and a little terrible. At Guy’s request, Dane went through each photograph and explained where they were, what they were doing, even who took the picture.
