​Rebecca’s POV ​Luckily, no one saw me when I climbed the ladder. My pulse thundered in my ears as I climbed to the top of the fence, pulling the heavy ladder over to the other side with shaking hands. I scrambled down quickly, my boots hitting the soft dirt outside the mansion grounds. I released a soft sigh of relief, looking back at the dark, towering packhouse one last time before beginning my journey into the woods. I wasn't running away. At least, not now.
