Before he could give his reaction to Anna any real consideration, she lifted her head and peered at him with her blond hair, which had become dry, untamed, and beautiful around her face and creamy white shoulders. As the seconds passed, her focus remained intently on his face as she interrogated and scrutinized it. Then, she slid off of him and onto her back, with her arm wrapped over her face as if she didn't want to be seen. She did this without uttering a word. It's also possible that she didn't want to look up at the rocky roof of the cavern. He had merely served as a diversion for her thoughts, her intellect, and her concerns; yet, her claustrophobia was very much alive and well. It gave him pleasure to know that he could do that for her, and that she cared enough about him to forget
