CHAPTER 11 The next morning, Selene woke up feeling like she hadn't closed her eyes in days. Her stomach churned with fatigue. It was all she could do to swallow her usual cup of coffee. “You'd better stay home today, honey,” Brandon told her seriously as he loaded the coffee cups into the dishwasher. “You look exhausted. I guess the weekend was too much for you.” Wow. I look so bad it shows. She shook her head. “I may come home early. They're expecting a break in the r**e case. Someone spotted the taxi driver in Baxter, and they're going to try and bring him in for questioning. Once it's done, I'll probably come home. Jeez, I just got up and I already need a nap.” “Have you had any breakfast?” Selene swallowed hard as the nausea peaked. “Ugh, I can't even think about food right now.”
