My gaze plunged to the floor as I walked towards the class. My steps, however, halted to hear my name being whispered nearby. I was sure that there must be other Addisons as well. So, I paid it no mind. Regardless of how much I wanted the beginning of my day to be positive, my circumstances seemed to conflict that notion. Before I could even get to my class, I heard a burst of laughter following me in the hallways. I didn’t know what was so amusing about a student barely managing to hold everything together. It was when I lifted my head that I saw Todd. He glared at me while laughing at something he was told by his delinquent friend, Jessy. All I could decipher was that they were trouble. That was the only thing I didn’t want in my life at that moment. Beside them was this girl Jeanne. H
