CHAPTER 7. IT’S YOUR FAULT

1922 Words
After getting into the class, Natalie looked for Addison among the students. Just when she found her scraping something in the notebook, she smiled. She loved observing her. Whenever she used to look at Addison, she couldn’t help but notice the similarity that they both shared.  It wasn’t because of Silas that she began noticing Addison, it was because of how much popular and well-received she was.Natalie’s nature of acquiring the most prized people led her towards the girl. After realising that the girl who blatantly rejects other people’s feelings was in love with her fellow teacher, she became incited to approach the Mister Silas. Although the guy was too plain for Natalie, she began pursuing him out of the sheer pleasure of hurting Addison. The moment she began explaining the text in the class that she was reading, she gawked at Addison while affirming in her head, “It’s all your fault, Addison. You walk around the whole school with Zack while his fiance cries over it. You are just like me. You too don’t care about other’s feelings but your purpose. Thus, you can’t hold me accountable for stealing your love away.” Shortly, the class ended and now she had to wait for two hours more to see Addison in pure agony.   “Life’s good when things are going your way,” spoke Natalie as she finished the class. Addison, somehow, understood that she was formulating a plan to hurt her or something, but she still wanted to confront her regarding her relationship with Mister Silas.  Though Addison was prepared to confront Natalie, she had never thought that she’d see Mister Silas there.  Subsequently, Mister Silas managed to reach the ground floor on time. He, therefore, waited patiently while whistling away his anxiousness. After precisely five minutes, Natalie appeared at the spot and apologised, "I'm sorry for being late. I’m such an airhead! Though I invited you, I arrived here this late."  “It’s okay, I understand that you were taking your classes,” responded Natalie.  After wiping the sweat off her face, Miss Natalie the asked the guy, "You've been saying that you wanted to tell me something. What is it?" Looking at her innocent countenance, Silas decided that he must get everything off his chest and make his feelings known to her. He realised that getting rejected would be better than never trying. 'But I need courage,' thought Silas. In that moment, the unoverse smiled upon him and he definitely felt a push to confess.  Unaware of the presence of a certain someone, Silas ended up declaring, "I have feelings for you!" Instead od a response, there was a grin on her face.  Addison who had been behind Zack, heard everything from a safe distance. Miss Natalie's plan seemed to work perfectly as the timing of Silas's confession matched up with Addison's arrival. Looking at Addison's hurt expression, Natalie found it hard to stay calm and serious. It was the moment of triumph for her. She had successfully managed to make Silas fall for her, the object of Addison's affection. While the couple continued the discussion, Addison had suddenly lost interest in them. She could no longer tolerate Silas appearing like a fool. She, therefore, sprinted away to her empty classroom. After squatting down near her desk, she mumbled, "Tears aren't coming.” After a brief pause, Addison spoke,  Well, of course, they wouldn’t. I have no right to cry because I didn't do anything to stop her." After reclining in another position, Addison continued to ponder, 'Silas is so great. He put himself out there. I wonder if they're going to start dating. I hope they don't. I don't want to have to see them every day together. I mean, I knew that this was going to happen eventually, but I didn't anticipate it this sooner." After resting her head over her knees, the young woman complained, "I know it's too late, but I don't want to give up. I wish I could also have mustered up my courage and tried to pursue Silas. He matters too much to me, but then why I failed to say anything at all?" Recollecting the old memmories, Addison declared, "We've been together all this time. The reason why I hate his proposal to Miss Natalie is because we've been together for so long. I am scraed that he wouldn't be with me anymore." It was then a voice inside me chided me for my whinig, "Are you stupid? That's why you lost him." After a sigh, the words slipped right out of mouth, "Yes, I did. I lost him." Anyhow, Addison stood back on her feet and headed out of the school to get to Zack's apartment. Upon reaching the entrance, Addison hesitated in knocking on the door first as she wondered, 'I'm sure Zacl would be hurt if he'd found out. But, he'll find out eventually." As she stood and glared at his door, she realised, "I'm not here to inform him. I am here for relying on him." She thus turned around as she concluded in her head, 'Hurting Zack for my own convenience isn't a good enough reason to tell him about it." Just when Addison walked back to get to her home, she wondered, 'Just how much have I been spoiled? I was ready to deliver the news to Zack and use him to comfort me. That's low!" Just when turned towards the alley of her house, she got interrupted by someone calling out to her, "Are you not visiting Henley today?" With grief evident in her eyes, Addison maaged to call out her name, "Everlyn?" For a brief moment, there were no words but the stare. They both gazed into each other's eyes while a hint of awkwardness was there. Addison chose to brok the silence as she asked, "Did you follow me?" Even though Everlyn was embarassed by the sudden confrontation, she spoke while stutterig, "Yeah, I did." Realising it was wrong and might cause a problem between them, she still was keen on asking, "Does that bother you?" Though her words seemed gutsy, she was choking on her own breath at that time. She was that anxious. With tears finally welling up in her eyes, Addison asked, "Why? Why would you do something so--? Why do you like me so much?" Swooned by Everlyn's persistence, Addison rushed into her arms. After letting go of her backpack, Addison confessed while tears kept falling from her pitiful eyes, "Please forgive me for not knowing. I don't know the significance of doing this. I am sorry that I couldn't understand for you." Everlyn hugged her back as she confessed, "I don't care about it anymore. It's okay." It was only after going through the heartbreak herself that Addison realised that it wasn't okay. At that moment, she could feel every ounce of pain in her heart that Everlyn went through the other day. Everlyn then looked at Addison's eyes and gave her an affectionate kiss on her lips. It was the first time Addison got kissed by a girl, but she didn't mind. Her weeping heart needed someone to ease the loneliness, and Addison managed to do just that with her touch. While exchanging the affection, Everlyn dared to ask, "Do you pity me? Is that why you're crying?" "What?" asked Addison with a bewildered face. After holding her face tenderly, Everlyn placed a tender kiss on her nose and spoke, "The past doesn't exist. Moving forward in regards to the time that has already fleeted away is downright unnecessary." Addison chose to listen while resting her head on Everlyn's shoulder.  They then headed for Addison's home as it began to pour heavily. Just after reaching her home, they moved towards Addison's bed. Since her mother was at work, they both were the only ones present inside that house.  After laying on top of Addison, Everlyn peeped out of the window. It was then she realised that the rain wasn't going to stop anytime soon. That meant they would have a longer time to be with one another. She then looked at Addison lying below her and asked her while stroking her head, "Are you scared?" "Yes, of course, I am. Why do you ask?" responded Addison in a quavering voice. Everlyn then pleaded to know, "Why are you scared, Addison? Is that because I'm a girl?" "No, it's not like that," responded Addison. She then held her head as she confessed, "It is because you're my best friend, Everlyn." Everlyn was unsure of the appropriate manner of approaching her, but her feelings aided her to get past the discomfort.  Unwilling to discuss it anymore, Everlyn removed Addison's hand that covered her eyes and eradicated the distance between them. Withholding her hands above her head, Everlyn pressed her body against hers while kissing her passionately. It was slow and deliberate. Hesitant, maybe. And soft. Perfectly. Undeniably. Soft. Paper bags tumbled off the bed, and Everlyn crawled atop the sheets, continuously kissing her dark-haired paramour. She shouldn't be doing this. No, that wasn't what respectable young women did, was it? The two grasped each other's hair, bodies close and hot. Everlyn then asked, "Is this what you do with friends? Maybe, it is justifiable because you do thi with Henley too. Right?" Everlyn couldn't contain her jealousy inside her head, and it managed to slip out. Just when Addison's eyes brimmed with tears, Everlyn realised that she was going to make her cry. She thus asked Addison, "Just tell me if you don't want to do this?" "I won't," responded Addison. Watching her cry, Everlyn felt guilt enveloping her conscience. She thus asked, "Why not?" Addison's eyes were fixated on Everlyn when she responded, "Because I care about you, Everlyn." Though Everlyn didn't say it, she speculated that Addison's cared for her as a friend. She knew there was nothing more. Everlyn's fingers were interlocked with hers when she deduced in her head, 'Although you don't see me as a lover, I understand that I'm important to you. I know you can't say no because you don't want to lose me. So, of course, I am going to take advantage of you. For the cruel things you've done to me, you deserve to suffer.' After removing her shirt and tossing her skirt away, Everlyn couldn't help but smile as she confirmed in her head, 'I might never receive your affection, but I will take whatever I can." Everlyn's fingers slid toward Addison's panties while her lips began claiming her neck. While touching her most sensitive spot, Everlyn whispered into her ear, "Remember to do the same as I am doing." Tight against each other's bodies, they shared soft moans and whimpers. Though the temperature had comparatively decreased after the rain, they shared intense heat in their bed. As they cuddle afterwards, Everlyn makes a funny face and suggests the possibility that they might be edging towards becoming lesbians and they both collapse into paroxysms of laughter. Just after Everlyn succeeded in lightening the intense atmosphere, she latched on to Addison's body and confessed, "I love you." ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ AUTHOR’S NOTE ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Show your love by adding this book to your library.
