Chapter 25

862 Words

If she could turn back the time, Lena would have dragged herself to the Dawson family last night, even if she had to crawl there while sick. She took a deep breath and completely ignored him. Hayden felt satisfied. He had known Lena for years, but ever since Leah appeared five years ago, everyone had naturally gravitated toward her. She was like a fragile doll, too pitiful to ignore. Unconsciously, everyone had sided with Leah, and it had become completely normal. Everyone thought Lena was just throwing a tantrum. They assumed she would go back sooner or later anyway. When the drinks arrived, everyone thanked Vivian. No one remembered that it was Lena who ordered them. Lena could not be bothered to argue over something so trivial. She focused on completing the documents in her hands.
