I stopped dead on my track, barely breathing.
He hadn't changed much. He still had the same cruel eyes, the same angry face.
I made my voice meek and quiet. “Hello, Master.”
I bowed my head, eyes diverted from his. I hadn't expected close proximity to him and despite the fact that Agnar had allied my fears of being discovered, my heart still pounded heavily.
“Your sister has disappeared from the dungeon.”
I gasped at the news and forced tears into my eyes as I looked up and fell to my knees.
