The first kiss

Chapter Three: The days after our study session felt different.Every glance, every smile, every brush of his hand against mine seemed to hum with something unspoken. It was Friday afternoon when it happened. We had just finished our last Business Studies lesson for the week. Most of the class had already left, but I stayed behind to pack up my things. Blxcee lingered too, leaning against the wall near the window, watching the rain slide down the glass. “Looks like we’re stuck here for a while,” he said. The rain was heavy now, the kind that blurred the world outside into a painting of silver streaks. I laughed softly. “You always liked the rain, didn’t you?” “I like it more now,” he replied, his eyes locking with mine in a way that made my chest tighten. We sat at the edge of my desk, talking about nothing and everything, until the conversation faded into a comfortable silence. The kind that felt… safe. Then, without a word, he reached for my hand. His fingers were warm, his grip gentle but sure. My heart skipped a beat, and I was suddenly aware of how close he was how the scent of mint on his breath mixed with the faint cologne I’d come to recognize as him. “I’ve been wanting to tell you something,” he said quietly, his thumb brushing against my skin. “What?” My voice was barely a whisper. He hesitated for a moment, eyes searching mine. “I don’t think I can be ‘just friends’ with you anymore.” My breath caught. “Blxcee…” He stepped closer, so close that I could feel the warmth radiating from him. “You make it impossible,” he murmured, his voice trembling just enough to let me know he meant every word. Before I could reply, he leaned in slowly, as if giving me every chance to pull away. But I didn’t move. I couldn’t. His lips brushed mine, soft at first, almost hesitant, before pressing into something deeper. The world outside disappeared. The rain, the classroom, the clock on the wall all of it faded until there was only us. When we finally pulled apart, he rested his forehead against mine. “So… does this mean you feel the same?” he asked, his voice half teasing, half hopeful. I smiled, my heart still racing. “It means you’re not allowed to sit anywhere but next to me from now on.” He laughed the kind of laugh I’d been falling for all along and kissed me again, like he already knew this was just the beginning.
