Two weeks later…. Rachel             I was sitting in my room studying for my statistics test.  I listened to the thunder roar outside as I sat there on the floor.  I looked up as Maryah wondered in my room with her book.  “What are we studying Mommy?”  She asked sitting next to me with her book and pencil.  I smiled at her.  “Statistics.”  She stared at me for a moment.  “I’m sorry Babe, math.”  “Again?  I just helped you study that last week.”  I couldn’t help but laugh.  “I have a test every week Babe.”  “Oh.  Okay let’s get an ‘A’ Mommy.”  I laughed as she leaned over into my book.  I pulled her in my lap so we both could see it.  “Are you doing homework?”  Traci asked walking in my room with her book.  “Yes why?”  “Do you understand number twelve?”  “I’m trying to figure it out now.”  She sat across from me as we tried to figure out our math problem.              About an hour later Maryah was asleep in my lap and Traci and I were going crazy with our homework.  “I give up.”  Traci said lying backwards on the floor.  “Me too.  I’m so sleepy the words look like dots.”  She laughed as I stood up with Maryah.  I laid her in my bed as Traci picked up our books.           I made sure the house was secure as she checked on Ty and Kelis.  Kenny was out with Cameron and would be gone for a while.  I looked on the couch as Tasha slept peacefully.  The thunder rattled the house as I snuggled in my bed beside my daughter and drifted to sleep. About an hour later I awakened.  I looked over Maryah at Tasha.  Before I could do or say anything the thunder outside roared and shook the house making me jump out of my skin and Tasha cling to me.  “I hate thunder.”  She said trying her hardest not to cry.  Aw, I thought hugging her.  “Me too.”  I hugged her as tight as I could as I covered us up.    I looked up in the doorway just in time to see Kelis fly by.  I couldn’t help but laugh.  “SHUT UP RACHEL!”  Traci called from her room as I laughed again. “I DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING!”  I called back.  “YOU WERE LAUGHING AT MY BABY BECAUSE SHE’S RUNNING FROM THE LIGHTNING!”  I smiled.  “WELL, SHE WAS RUNNING KIND OF FAST!”   We jumped as the power blinked out. “SEE WHAT YOU DID?”  Traci called from her room.    “YOU CAN’T BLAME THAT ON ME!  YOU’RE THE ONE YELLING!”   We laughed.  I jumped out of my skin as Cameron walked in the room. He smiled at me.  “Hey.”  “Hey.”  He said as Traci screamed.  I looked at Cameron as he looked at me.  “RACHEL HELP!  HE’S MAD ABOUT THE STRIPPERS!”  Traci called as she laughed.  I looked at Cameron as he laughed.  “Are you laughing at my sister?”  I asked as he walked over towards the bed.  He gestured to the girls who were clinging to me for dear life.  “Shut up and lay down.”  I instructed. He laid on the other side of the girls.  “You’re not the boss of me.”  He said as Tasha jumped into his arms.  “It’s okay.  It’s just thunder.”  I watched him hug and kiss her.  We listened to the thunder strike again making the house rattle.  “God’s angry.”  Maryah said hugging me tighter.  That made sense, I guess.  “Maybe, but you’re a sweet beautiful, good girl.  He’s not angry with you.”  Cameron said making me smile at him.  He laid there hugging Tasha and rubbing her back until she fell asleep.  After a while Maryah also fell asleep.  I found myself watching her sleep again and thinking about Mario, Robi and Roni.  I don’t think Robi and Roni were scared of thunder.  I sat there trying to remember if they were or not.  Come to think of it I don’t really remember any really bad storms like this in California.  I kissed Maryah as she laid her head over my beating heart.  My God I would give anything to cuddle with my boys again.  I could almost feel all five of us in the bed together.  Mario would be on the side of me with Robi, Maryah exactly where she was, and Roni as always would lay behind me holding me with his tiny arm like he was John Henry.   The thought of us together soothed my depressed soul.   I jumped as I felt Cameron’s hand rub my thigh.  “Are you okay?”  He asked half asleep.  I nodded my head as he nodded his head.  He rested his hand on my thigh as he began snoring.  I felt safe and at peace and I fell into a deep restful sleep.             That morning it was still raining.  I looked at Maryah who was still asleep on my chest.  I looked beside me at Cameron and Tasha who looked so cute as they slept.  Cameron was on his stomach with an arm around Maryah and I, and Tasha was using his back as her personal pillow.  I looked around for my phone to take a picture but didn’t see it.  That’s when my bed began vibrating.  I looked at Cameron who was still snoring.  “Cam.”  Tasha mumbled making his bloodshot eyes pop open.  “Your phone.”  Tasha mumbled as he looked at me.  I shook my head as he reached in his pocket and pulled his phone out.  He looked at the phone and tossed it in the chair.  “Stop moving.”  Tasha said as he drifted back to sleep.  “My bad.”  He mumbled before beginning to snore again.  I looked at the phone as it continued to vibrate.  “It’s my alarm.”  He mumbled.  “You have to go somewhere?”  “When I’m in New York I give my mom her meds about now.”  I nodded my head.  “Everything’s okay baby.  Go back to sleep.”  He said pulling us into him.  It felt so good to be held I didn’t argue with him at all.  I just laid there holding Maryah in his arms until I fell asleep again.              After that I didn’t object to him sleeping in the bed with us when he was in town.  I noticed we all slept better together like this.             I found myself thinking of him a lot.  Was this what Mario meant when he said live?  Do I have feelings for Cameron?  If so, what were they? It was now two weeks later.  I was home outside with the kids and Traci.  The kids were running around playing while Traci and I sat at the patio on our laptops trying to do some homework. I couldn’t focus.  All I could do was sit there and stare at the screen and think of Cameron.  We had been having a lot of fun lately.  I hadn’t seen him all day and was starting to miss him.  “Mommy, can you help me find Kelis?”  Maryah said standing next to me.  I looked at Traci as she jumped up.  “What do you mean find her?”  She asked panicking.  “We are playing hide and seek.”  She looked around the empty yard.  “KELIS!”  Traci screamed.  “Yes?”  We looked under her chair at Kelis as I burst out laughing.  “Babe, you can’t scare Mommy like that okay?”  She said picking her up as she tried not to laugh.  “I’m sorry Mommy.”  I smiled as they kissed. I smiled at Maryah as she kissed me.  “Dance with me Mommy.”  She said pulling my hands as she danced.  I stood up and danced with her as we laughed.  That’s when I noticed Cameron, Kenny and Tasha walking out the back door towards us making me stop dancing.  Cameron smiled at me.  “Don’t stop.”   I watched the kids run and play as he stood in front of me.  I sat down at my computer and watched Maryah and Kelis chase Tasha for a moment.  I looked back at Cameron who was sitting next to me watching me.  “What?”  I asked as he continued to stare.  “I just really missed you today, and I’m happy to see you.”  I smiled.  “Can I have a hug?”  He asked as I stared at him.             I guess a hug wouldn’t hurt, I thought studying him.  I nodded my head.  He leaned over to me and embraced me.  I closed my eyes and drowned myself in this man.  It has been a really long time since I’ve had one of these hugs, and it felt so good!  I felt so safe and complete.  He even smelled so good!  His strong arms held me as if he wouldn’t let me go, and that was okay with me.  I couldn’t believe how disappointed I was when I felt his arms slip away.  “Are you okay?”  He asked studying me.  I nodded my head as I glanced at Traci and Kenny who were watching us.  I quickly got up and went to play with the kids.   Cameron             I watched her play with the kids for a moment trying to figure out what just happened.  I looked back at Kenny and Traci who were watching us closely.  “What was that?”  I finally asked.  “You let go.”  Traci answered.  We both looked at her.  “What?”  I asked.  “Did you let go, or did she?”  “Me.”  “She wasn’t ready for that hug to end.”  I looked back at Rachel as she chased Kelis.  “Cam., she’s falling for you.  She’s trying to fight it.”  Traci said getting up.  She ran over to Rachel and tagged her as they laughed.  Then they began chasing each other.  We got up and joined them.             Later on, that night, I was sitting in the kitchen eating ice cream.  Tasha was asleep on the couch, Kenny was putting Kelis to bed while Traci was feeding Tyrel, and Rachel was putting Maryah to bed.  Tasha and I were supposed to be leaving to go to New York to spend some time with my mom.   “You’re always in the ice cream bucket.”  I looked up at Rachel and smiled.  She walked over to me with her spoon and sat next to me.  I watched her take a scoop of ice cream in her spoon and stick it in her mouth.  I couldn’t help but smile at her.             She looked at me as she took another scoop.  “What?  You don’t like to share?”  I laughed.  “You just make eating ice cream so sexy.”  I watched her look away bashfully.  “Are you blushing?”  I asked. “A little.”  I smiled as I took her spoon out of her hand and dipped it in the ice cream.  I then held the spoon to her mouth. She looked from me to the spoon.  “I’m a grown ass woman.”  “Shut up.”  I said touching her lips with the ice cream.  I looked into those beautiful brown eyes as I slid the spoon inside her mouth.  She returned it to me clean.  I couldn’t help but smile at her again.              All I wanted to do was devour her with everything I had, right there on the kitchen table.  Staring into those beautiful eyes of hers was enough to arouse me.  I didn’t realize I was leaning in to kiss her until Kenny walked into the kitchen.  “Cam., you ready?”  Kenny was going to New York to handle the business while I visited Mom.  “Yeah.”  I said disappointed as I stared at Rachel.  She smiled at me.  “You two have a safe trip.”  I watched her get up and walk out the kitchen.  I looked at Kenny as he grabbed a water bottle.  “What’s wrong?”  He asked.  “I want to beat your ass.”  I said getting up as he laughed.                   Melina             I had just awakened to Thaddeus rolling into me.  He laid next to me sound asleep.  He didn’t say anything about Helena and seem to pretend he didn’t catch me cheating on him with a woman in our house. That was okay with me.  It killed me I hadn’t seen her since.  I really missed her. My body really missed her too.  I was so horny and had a lot of built-up tension I needed to release.  My body craved Helena.  I had been making her stay away. I just wanted her to stay away because I didn’t know what was going through Thaddeus’s head. I watched him sleep for a moment.  At this point I would take a chance at seeing her.  I really missed my Helena. I couldn’t help but notice his bulging boxers against my thigh.  I shook my head and turned my back to him.  I laid there wide awake for what seemed like all night.              I looked over at Thaddeus who was breathing heavily on the side of my face.  He’s actually pretty cute like this, I thought facing him. I slowly pulled the covers off his body and let his erection escape.  Okay, not bad I thought examining him.  I rubbed over him gently as I watched him sleep.  I felt him grow even harder under my palm.  I can work with this as long as he stays asleep.  I slowly straddled him letting his hard-pressed manliness rub the inside of my thighs. I pulled my panties to the side and rubbed my lady lips up and down against him.  He moaned and flinched making me even wetter.  I reached down and guided him inside me.  I couldn’t help but gasp out letting the pleasure overwhelm me.  I looked back at Thaddeus and saw Randy instead.  He smiled at me.  “What’s my rule baby?”  He asked slowly thrusting inside me.  I smiled at him and laid on top of him.  “f**k me like it’s my last day on earth.”  I recited remembering his words.  “That’s my girl.”  I laid there throwing my hips at him and kissing the life into him.  All I wanted was for Randy to come back to me.  I soon became distracted by Thaddeus flipping me on my back.  NO! NO! NO!  He slipped out of me as we flipped, and he tried to reenter me but got caught in my panties.  I let out a breath of frustration watching him franticly fight my underwear off.  I laid there and completely zoned out.  Ten minutes later Thaddeus was snoring next to me and I was in the shower.  I got dressed and walked out the house.  I sat in my car as I dialed a number.  “Hello?”  Helena answered.  “Where are you?”  “I’m walking to your house, why?”  “Why are you walking to my house?”  “I need some really good p***y.  Are you going to give me some?”  I smiled.  Thank you, Jesus!  “Only if you get here in the next five minutes.”  I jumped at a knock on the passenger window.  I smiled at Helena and unlocked the door.  She slid in and kissed me.  “You tried to give my p***y, away didn’t you?”  She asked pulling me on top of her.  “I’m sorry, he was there.”  She slipped her magical fingers inside of me while I held on to her devouring her in kisses.  “He’s been extra clingy too since the last time you came over.”  I panted to her as I rocked my hips against her fingers.  She pushed my face away and inhaled my n****e paralyzing me in my euphoria.  I felt her other hand gripping my ass to help me throw my hips at her.  All I could do was hug her and enjoy myself.  “You don’t sleep with him at all anymore!  Do you hear me?”  She growled in my ear gently biting it.  I franticly nodded my head.  “I can’t hear you.”  “Yes!” I screamed convulsing against her.  She held me against her until I stopped convulsing.  I didn’t move. I sat there letting her hold me.  I rested my head on her shoulder and she began rubbing my back.  “You should be able to sleep now.”  She whispered kissing me.  I smiled at her.  “Yes, you always put me to sleep.”  I began nibbling at her neck.  “Lena, what are you doing?”  She moaned into my kisses as my fingers found their way inside her.  “Returning the favor.”  I whispered back.  She moaned and fought against my fingers until she lost. That morning I awakened in the backseat to the sun shining in my face.  I looked at Helena who was lying on top of me asleep.  I gently stroked her naked back awakening her.  She looked at me and smiled.  I smiled back. I had no more will power to stay away from her or to make her stay away from me.  She was the love I had here on earth.  No one was going to deprive me of it ever again.  “You must be hungry.  Come in so I can cook you some breakfast.”  She stared at me trying to see if I was joking or not.  “Are you sure?”  “I am more than sure.  Get dressed and let’s go inside.”     “Baby, I don’t want to make things harder for you.  What if he gets mad and tries to hurt you?”  I smiled at her.  “He won’t.  I can honestly say without a shadow of a doubt, he loves me too much to hurt me.  Now put your clothes on and come inside with me.”                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                            That morning…. Rachel             I was sitting at the kitchen table with Kelis and Maryah.  They had awakened me extra early because they wanted pancakes for breakfast before school.  I was looking over my economics paper as they ate.  “Oh, hell no, where’s my pancakes?”  Traci asked walking into the kitchen.  She had Ty in her arms.  “Microwave woman.  Don’t get any syrup on Ty either.”  “Shut up!”  I laughed as I sat at the table.  “Is that your homework Mommy?”  I smiled at Maryah as I nodded my head.  “Do you need me to check it for you?”  I laughed.  “No Babe but thank you.”  “Can you check mine?”  “I already did.  You are a very smart little girl.”   She smiled at me.  “Thank you, Mommy.”  “Your welcome babe.”              Traci and I both had been working with the girls to help them read and write.  So far Maryah was reading at a first-grade level and Kelis was almost at a first-grade level reading.             After breakfast we dropped the girls off at school at their daycare.  After that we stopped at Mom’s house.  I was lying on the couch playing around with Ty when I spotted Thomas standing in the doorway watching us with his six-month old son, Amare.  “Why are you creeping?”  I asked as he walked in.  He sat next to us.  “It feels funny seeing you on the couch.”  I looked at him.  “Why?”  “You were gone forever.  Then you came back and then you were gone again.”    I looked back at Ty who was watching Amare.  “How are you?”  He asked making me look at him again.  I smiled.  “I’m okay.  And you?”  “Can’t complain.  Just taking it one day at a time.  And taking care of this fat boy.”  We laughed.  “Rachel, you know you can talk to me.”  I smiled at him.  “Yes, I know.”  He smiled back.             We sat there playing around with the kids for a moment before we got into a deep conversation.  “How did you and Mario meet?”  I looked at him.  “Lois Burgers in Los Angeles.”  He stared at me waiting for more as I kissed Amare.  “I said ‘how’ not ‘where.”  “I know what you asked.”  I said standing up.  “So how did you two meet?”  “Thomas,” “No, I’m not Mom.  I’m not going to stop until you answer my question.”  “Why?”  I asked.  “Because I want to know.”  We looked at Traci as she walked in with Mom.  “I have to go to class now.”  She announced kissing Thomas, then Amare then Ty.  I looked at Mom as she studied Thomas and me.   “What’s going on in here?”  She asked.  “I asked her how she and Mario met, and she can only tell me where they met.”  “We were at Lois Burgers.”  Traci answered taking Ty.  “He was sitting there with his friends eyeballing Ms. Thang here until he finally had the nerve to come over and talk to her.”  I smiled as I looked at Thomas who was studying us.  “They’ve been together ever since.”  He looked at me for conformation.  “There you go.”  I said as we walked out the door.  “Uh huh, we are riding too.”  Thomas said following me out the door with Amare.                       Cameron             I awakened to someone holding my nose.  I pushed their hand away as they laughed.  “Good morning Cam.”  Mom said hugging me.  “Good morning.”  I said as I sat up.  “When did you get in?”  “I don’t know it was really late.  How are you feeling?”  She smiled.  “I’m better now that you’re here.  You hungry?  I made pancakes.  Tasha already beat you to the pan.”  “NO!”  I said jumping up and running out my room as she laughed.  I walked into the kitchen just in time to see Tasha putting her plate in the sink.  She looked at me and laughed.  “I didn’t eat them all!”  She said as I chased her.  “Uh-huh, how many you left?”  “One, Cameron that’s all you need. I’m a growing girl remember?”  I tackled her on the couch as I tickled her.  “Grandma!”  She screamed as she laughed.             I jumped up as she ran into the room. “Momma look she deserved it!”  I said as she chased me around the room.  “I told you about messing with my baby.”  I burst out laughing when she tackled me in front of the kitchen.  She pinned me to the floor as we all laughed.  “Alright Momma I’ll leave her alone.”  I finally said as she let me go. I got up and helped her up.  “So, your Grandmother is coming over with your Uncle Ivan and Aunt Jackie.”  Mom announced as Tasha sat on the couch to watch TV.  I playfully nudged her as we walked into the kitchen.  I laughed as she jumped at me.  She smiled and sat down at the table.             I sat at the kitchen table with my plate and ate my food.  After the third bite I noticed she was watching me.  “What?”  I asked smiling at her.  She smiled at me.  “What’s her name?”  She asked making me choke.  I took a couple of sips of water to compose myself.  “Who Momma?”  “The woman you’re seeing.  What’s her name?”  I smiled.  “Mom, we’re not really seeing each other yet.”  “What’s her name?”  “Rachel.”  She smiled again as she stared at me.  “I think I know Rachel.  Do I?”  She asked making my smile disappear.  It made me really sad when she couldn’t remember things.  I did my best to remember for her.  I forced a smile. “We talk about her, but you haven’t met her yet.” “What’s she like?”  I looked at my pancakes.  “She’s smart, like an arrogant smart.  She’s beautiful beyond words.”  I couldn’t help but smile as I thought about her.  “She’s also a very stubborn, guarded person.”  “She’s different huh?”  I nodded my head.  “She has a little girl too.  She’s three.  She’s the sweetest kid.”  “Where’s the father?”  “Dead.  She also lost her twin boys.”  “That’s rough.”  I nodded my head. “I’m glad you’re finally happy.”  I smiled at her.  “Me too.”  “Do I get more grandbabies now?”  I sat there staring at her for a moment.  “I guess we’ll see huh?”  She smiled.  “Yes, having you guys was the best.”  I watched her stare into space for a moment.  “Did you talk to your sister today.”  “Mom, Shaniyah’s dead.”  She looked at me.  “Remember?”  She forced a smile.  “What mother could forget the death of her child?”  I watched her sadly walk to the sink. I stood next to her as she stared out the window for a moment.  “Mom?”  She looked at me and forced a smile.  “Hey Bae.”  She kissed me as if she were kissing her husband.  She then rested her head against my chest making me somewhat uncomfortable.  I didn’t really know what to do.  “Cameron’s going to be happy to see you.”  She said unable to hide her excitement as she walked out the kitchen.  I took a deep breath before following her.
