About a month later….
Kenny
We were at the club celebrating. We had just bought our private jet. We were sitting in our VIP section drinking and clowning around. With me were Cameron, Markus, Derrick, Bill, Chad, Steven, JC, Kobe, and Jeremy.
Everyone went to mingle except me, Cameron, Markus, and Jeremy. We were discussing our next move. “So, you want to supply and distribute New York too?” Markus asked Cameron. He nodded his head. “Have you gotten in touch with that chick you were talking about?” I asked. “Not yet. But I have people in New York who just waiting on the word to go ahead.” “Yeah, but Cam how are we going to supply two states without that connect?” “Yeah, that means we will be supplying every day.” Markus put in. “Look you either want money or not.” Cameron snapped sipping his drink. “It’s already a drought in New York and moving in on them now is the right move.” “This could also bring us to our knees too, Cameron.” Jeremy put in. “I don’t fall on my knees.” He snapped. “I’m telling you this opportunity is not going to present itself again. Now is the time. I will find Camil don’t worry about that.” They all looked around at each other. “I’m going to the bathroom. You all think about it.” I said walking away.
I walked past the bathrooms and out back outside by the alley. I picked up the phone and dialed a number. “What’s wrong Kenny?” Rachel asked annoyed. “What’s wrong with you?” I asked sitting on the crates.
“My Mom keeps trying to pressure me into moving in with her. She just left here. She thinks that’s going to help me.” “That’s because she doesn’t know what you’ve been through and lost. I think you should sit down and talk to her.” “WHY DOES EVERYONE WANT ME TO TALK?!” I listened to the shakiness in her voice which let me know she was crying. “You need to talk because you being silent scares the s**t out of us. Remember your man?” I listened to her laugh for a moment. “Yes. He was crazy though, I’m not.” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Girl you are a female version of him. Tell the truth now.” “Yeah, you are right.” She said as we both laughed. “Trust me when I say everything’s going to be alright.” “Okay.” She sniffled a little bit.
“So, I called because Cam wants to expand to New York.” “That’s great, when?” “Now.” “Oh.” I nodded my head. “We don’t have enough to expand that far, do we?” “We will have to keep getting stuff every day, until he gets in touch with his girl.” “How long do you think that will take?” “I don’t know. He’s been looking since he’s been back.” It was silent for a moment. I looked up as Cameron stepped outside beside me. “f**k it, do it. Take New York.” “Okay. Remember everything is going to be alright, keep your head up.” “I’m okay now.” “Alright. Tell your big-headed ass sister I’m going to kick her ass when I see her.” “Look, Kenny, don’t make me come beat your ass now.” She said as we laughed. “Goodnight.” “Goodnight sis.” I hung up the phone. I looked at Cameron who was watching the alley. “Is she okay?” “Who?” “Rachel?” I couldn’t help but laugh. “Yes, she’s fine.” He smiled. “They said they out. What do you say?” “I’m in.” “Let’s get to work.”
