Two hours later.......
Kenny-
I was at Mario's house sitting in his room. Words could not explain how much I missed my brother. It was surreal he was gone. I sat there staring at his bed as I remembered how he would lay in the middle of the bed tossing the football in the air and catching it as we talked and goofed off. Sometimes we could barely stand to come in here or in the game room. His memory was everywhere especially in that game room. We closed it off and nobody had been inside since he died.
Things weren’t any easier since he had been gone. Since I inherited San Francisco that meant taking over the Crips too. They were rebelling and declaring war on any Blood who entered the premises. I had made an appearance there a few days ago to set an example for some of them. They received the message and were for now, playing by the rules. I expected that it wouldn’t last too long.
I looked in the doorway as my one-year-old daughter unsteadily walked in. "Dada!" I couldn’t help but smile at Kelis as she walked into my arms. "Hey Beautiful." I said picking her up. I kissed her as she observed me. I smiled at her again.
She was the perfect blend of me and her mother. She had my dark curious eyes that saw and observed everything. She also inherited my nose. From her mother, she possessed her beautiful smile which revealed her perfect dimple. This little girl had my heart. Everything she did made me melt.
“Dada ok?” She asked making me melt again. “Daddy needs kisses. Can I have kisses?” She nodded her head as we kissed. “More?” She asked making me laugh. “Yes, a lot more.” She kissed me four times in a row. “More.” I said as she smiled at me. “All done.” “No, not all done!” I said tickling and kissing her again. “More kisses.” She kissed me three more times as Derrick peeked into the room.
"Bro, that's handled." I nodded my head as he disappeared. I looked at Kelis as she watched me. I smiled at her as she smiled at me. "Let's go spend Daddy's money, Princess." I walked out the room with Kelis in my arms.
I walked into the living room where Steven and Bill were sitting on the couch lost in space. Derrick walked out the kitchen as everyone looked at Kelis and I. “We are about to get out of here.” I announced as the sadness lingered in the air. They nodded their heads as I glanced out the front window at the black escalade pulling into the driveway. I watched as Cameron jumped out and stormed up the driveway.
I quickly put down Kelis and stepped outside. "Slow your role." I said stopping him. "Kenny do not tell me what to do man. I'm looking for Ryah, and Tasha." "Ryah is dead, and last I heard Tasha was living on a hundred and first. And how the hell did you find us?" "What the f**k you mean dead? And you know me better than that. I’ll find s**t up a net’s ass." I looked away to keep from laughing. "I mean dead. You don't have to worry about her, man." "That was Mario's chick, right?" He asked. "Yes." I answer gesturing for Derrick and Bill to fall back.
"Your brother? Your best friend? Your right hand man?" I nodded my head. "What does that have to do with anything?" "When I find her, she will be dead." "I told you she already dead." "We'll see." "Look, I’m the one you need to see if you want your territory back. I know you very well, Cam. And I could use you on my team." "WHAT THE f**k DO YOU KNOW ABOUT ME?!" He snapped stepping to me.
I pushed Bill and Derrick back as I stepped to Cameron. "I know you took that charge for your dad. I know he set you up to keep Marvin from killing you. In the process he got killed, and for the record, Shaniyah was trying to kill Ryah. Ryah killed her in self-defense." "That's not the story I got homeboy." "Then check your sources." He looked back at the truck, then me. "Why don’t I ask Ryah my damn self?” “She's dead.” I protested as he laughed. ''You never could lie right." I smiled. '' A hundred and first.'' He got in the truck and drove off.
