Chapter 6

Ella reaches the campus and drops her mum a message that she is at the University. She messages Abagail to find out if they reached the campus and Abagail replies with yes but out at the moment.

She asks Ella if she reached to which Ella replies yes.

Abagail replies see you in a few then.

Ok replies Ella.

She gets out of the car and picks her stuff from the back seat and the bag from the boot and heads towards her room.

She passes a few of her friends on the way to her room smiles and greets them and makes her way towards her room.

Ella opens her door and walks in, puts her snacks away and put her bags away. She walks into the bathroom to wash her face and she splashes water on her face and looks into the mirror she sees the same burning woman scream and come at her through the mirror.

She stumbles in fear and falls back on the floor shutting her eyes close. After a few minutes she opens her eyes and sees no one is there. She calms herself, gathers her courage and gets off the floor pulling her towel she wipes the takes one look at the mirror and sees nothing there and walks out of the bathroom.

The next few weeks go by with no change as Ella studies and sits for her exams, Chloe left for her summer tour and Zoe back in school.

After finishing her papers Ella, Abagail and Alex decide to go on a vacation to the mountain cabin the White’s family own to cut off from everything and relax.

After reaching the mountain cabin they all settled in and then Ella heard a Wolf howl and freaks a bit. Abagail and Alex tell her not to worry as they are always around but hardly cause a confrontation and the area is patrolled by the mountain police.

Unknown to Ella her pendant the quartz crystal was glowing.

Mary feels the awakening of the pendant and has a feeling in her gut.

Mary calls Delia and Eugen and asks them where is Ella?

They tell Mary that she is at the mountain cabin with the White Kids.

Mary tells them the feeling she had on the awakening of the Pendant.

All of them get worried and Mary tells them that it’s a sign that she will come within her powers soon.

They try calling her up but are unable to reach her, am on my way to pick you up then we can reach the mountains.

Before Mary hangs up Eugen hears her call out to Garett for the hip flask.

Mary a slender woman, lovely short black hair with a few strands of white. I guess she does not believe in colouring them to hid her age, hazel eyes and Zoe does seem to resemble her.

Mary reaches Eugen’s house and goes in.

Mary bumps into Zoe at the entrance and Zoe looks at her confused and asks her am sorry who are you?

I am your Grandma Zoe.

What? Zoe’s mouth stays open in shock.

Mary holds her chin gently and closes her mouth. Lovely to meet you Darling she hugs Zoe. Now where are your parents? We have pressing issues first pleasantries and reunions later.

Unable to talk Zoe points towards the lounge.

Mrs. Loukas greets Mary and Mary reciprocates the greeting respect clearly seen in their manner.

Zoe moves towards Mrs. Loukas still confused and says Grandma? From Where? How?

We can have this talk in a bit. Let’s go.

Have you managed to reach her? Asks Mary announcing her arrival in the household.

No say Eugen and Delia in unison.

Let’s leave for the cabin.

A still shocked Zoe stands stunned in the lounge doorway.

On the way out of the lounge Eugen and Delia see the confusion on Zoe’s face and they tell her darling once we are back we will clear it all out.

Mrs. Loukas please look after Zoe we will be back in a few days or so says Delia.

Sure no problem.

Zoe I know you have a lot of questions on your mind please Mrs. Loukas will bring you give you a brief talk darling says Mr. Eugen.

For emergency cash says Eugen.

Do not worry I will take care of it says Mrs.Loukas.

Let’s move says Mary.

We love you darling. They hug her and leave.

Mrs.Loukas takes Zoe calmly by the shoulders and sits her on the couch. Mrs. Loukas tells Zoe that her grandmother is alive and she tells Zoe that at this particular moment Ella is in dire need of their guidance and the rest she will learn when her parents are back.

Ella is not in any severe danger is she?

Not particularly at this moment. No

Just stay put and you will learn soon. But I assure you everything is under control.

During the evening as Ella, Alex and Abagail sit around the fire having a drink they hear the howling of many wolves.

All three of them worried hurriedly go to the windows and check on what’s happening. They see many wolves gathering in front of the house and get worried on how they are to protect themselves.

Alex tries the radio call for help but there is too much static and it’s unreachable. He goes back to the window and sees all the wolves lined up.

Then one wolf comes and stands at the top of the rest. As the pack sees the wolf they all give way for him to come down the mountain slope and he comes and places himself at the front of the rest staring directly at Ella. Ella says he is the Alpha of the pack.

Ella also has her eyes locked on this particular wolf as her pendant glows and she realizes that its glowing. She holds her pendant and she feels an electric like urge of electricity in her body and she glows.

Shocked stand Alex and Abagail.

Mary, Delia and Eugen make their way to the mountain cabin.

Ella opens the door despite Alex and Abagail warning her not to. She just gives them a look and they stop dead with the words of resistance on their lips.

Ella opens the door and walks out and sees all the wolves get up and bow their heads like giving her respect and the one wolf standing in front of the rest does the same.

While they are all staring at Ella the one at the front of the pack transforms into a human. Ella stood still unable to move while Alex and Abagail are in shock and cannot believe their eyes.

Did we have too much to drink? asks Alex still shocked.

That’s not the booze bro.

You are a Corey my girl says the man. He was a middle aged man with a head full of black hair with a few white strands and a very handsome man with hazelnut eyes.

At that moment Mary, Delia and Eugen arrive.

Delia gets down from the car and runs to Ella with Eugen behind her. She hugs Ella and puts her arms around her shoulder.

Good, the wolves are here too says Mary taking a sip from her Hip flask as she gets down from the car and it’s over. Right on time.

Yes says Jake, we are here too after all it is our territory and Hello to you too Mary says Jake turning around to face Mary.

I forgot the super hearing.

Jake greets Mary, Delia and Eugen as they reciprocate to the greetings.

You still live here asks Eugen?

Where else should we have gone? This is our home where we built a life then lost and we intend to maintain our land and existence.

You all know each other? Asks Ella.

Looks like your daughter has no knowledge of the power she possesses. She needs to be educated fast on all that she is as the pendant is awake and many others will come to sense it too as did we.

Jake speaks totally ignoring Ella’s question.

Eugen nods to Jake also not answering Ella.

Jake says we shall be on alert around the clock here at the cabin. No mistake will be tolerated. Take your time Mary and bring her up to date.

Mary calls out Jake how is he?

He is fine Mary. He has turned into an amazing young man, educated just like she wanted and is a very impressive boy. He has her eyes.

Mary tells Delia, Let’s take Ella in. They take her in followed in by Eugen as Ella looks at Jake over her shoulder.

Ella asks who is she?
