Lost in your love

After I was done with today's work, Ena and I started searching for the building Rufansa in nearby places.

"Why are we searching though?",Ena asked.

"Once we get there, I'll tell you.",I said.

We saw a building labeled as Rufansa. It was a shopping complex.

"Are we searching someone Lia?",she asked when we entered.

"Kind of."

"We could take police help.",she suggested.

"We can't."

Ena was confused.

We searched like that for another two buildings. And found nothing.

I dropped Ena to her house and came home.

"It's ok Lia. We'll search tomorrow.",Rean said pulling me towards him.

"I hope that she's fine Rean.",I murmured sadly.

The next morning, I had no mood to cook.

Rean and I went to nearby cafe. We ordered cold coffee and sandwiches.

I felt someone was observing us. Maybe I'm overthinking again.

We took our seats and I again felt someone was following us. A guy. He He grabbed a seat exactly behind ours.

I turned back to see him covering himself with a magazine.

I got up from the chair. Rean was confused.

"What happened?"

"Hey. Who are you?",I asked grabing the magazine from him.

The guy smiled broadly with raising his eyebrows.

"Ken!",I exclaimed. I didn't know if I was supposed to feel happy or worried to see him.

Rean too stood up.

"Hi."

"You haven't left the job of following us Ken?",Rean smirked.

"For whom are you following us for? This time.",I asked in a harsh tone. Uh. I was panicked remembering what he had done.

"Guys. Chill. Your mom's dead."

"But your brother(Nic) is still alive.",Rean said sarcastically.

"What.",he chuckled.

"How come you're out of the prison?", I asked.

"My dad bailed me. Ofcourse."

"I still live in this town guys. I'm seeing you both like after years! It's just a coincidence that we met here. Lol."

"You guys freaking made me feel anxious.",he added.

Rean and I looked at each other. We never know what's his intations are up to.

We all three sat together.

"How's life? Uh. Married life of yours?",he asked.

"Awesome.",we both said in union.

"Great."

"I'm continuing my further studies. In particular, masters in psychology.",he said siping his coffee.

"Wow.",I exclaimed.

He received a call.

"Okay guys. I have to run a few erands. Bye.",he said walking out of the cafe.

"Rean. Whenever there's an issue Ken pops up from no-where.",I said looking him walking accross the street.

"Nic too.",he chuckled .

"Rean!"

"I hope that Ken is not the one behind this.",I sighed.

"I hope Nic is not too."

"Uh. Why are you always behind Nic?",I asked directly.

"Because he's brother of Ken!",Rean sounded ridiculous.

I rolled my eyes.

We started off searching.

We saw an empty building next to Rufansa which was very creepy.

"Should we check there?",Rean asked.

"I think it's dangerous.",I said backing off from there.

"You mean it's dangerous if ghosts might be there but not when a kidnapper is waiting there for you to find him?!"

"It's not funny.",I held my hands on my waist examining the building.

Painted in black, bricks were kept randomly everywhere. Who paints building completely black? The windows were not fixed yet.

"I guess. We need to back off."

"Oh. Come on Lia. I've a gun. We can't leave this place without checking."

He dragged me. I onned my phone's torch light.

There was some weird smell inside the building.

"Did you hear it?",I asked grabing Rean's right hand.

"Hear what?"

"Something is behind us.",I felt anxious.

He didn't even try to turn behind to check.

"Are you enjoying it?",I asked him.

"Yep. It's romantic. How you are holding me in this dark-"

I heard that noise again.

"Rean-"

"I heard.",he said with a tensed look.

"We need to get back.",I said.

He nodded. As we were heading back, I stamped on something.

Rean was ahead of me.

"Why did you stop?",he asked turning behind.

I bent down and I focused my light on it. It was a ring like a thing covered completely in mud.

"What's that?",Rean asked out of curiosity.

I searched for water. I saw a pipe which was dripping.

I went and held the object under the slowly dripping water.

Rean was behind me.

"Lia, I guess we can wash it once we go home."

I didn't answer him. I rubbed the object. I guessed it right. It was a ring.

It took two minutes to completely wash it off.

I examined the ring closely.

"Dad's ring."

"What??"
