Zeke's POV As I sat in the car, a flood of memories washed over me, pulling me back to the conversations I'd had with my grandfather. He had been adamant about me marrying Kamille, but why? Was it because he foresaw the dangers that now threatened her and her family? Did he know what was coming or was he only making me marry his friend's daughter? Questions swirled in my mind, did Kamille's grandmother know about the danger that lurked in the shadows, waiting to strike? Was that why she had urged us to marry? I felt lost in between worlds.
