The Girl and her Squad from the Non-Magical World

1159 Words
Rosela always wanted to have magic. But the rest of the people in StarTale City have a different way of doing things. For one thing, magic does not exist in the real world. People work hard to achieve their own dreams. No pain, no gain. Magic is just for dreamers who don't want to work, is what they say. So as Rosela walks up to Star Charm Academy, the most prestigious school in StarTale City, Rosela walks at her usual slow, but careful pace as her eyes kept glued on her book.  She didn't even notice when her squad walked up behind her. "Hey!" Andres said as he slung his arm on Rosela's arm. "WAAAHH!" Rosela screamed. "You're too loud, girl," Meeasha laughed, not looking up from her phone as she furiously tapped and suddenly screamed, "Ha! Take that, noobies!" "You are quite loud yourself," James commented on her as he walks while bouncing his basketball, the one he always carries around wherever he goes. "We really can't walk up to school normally, can't we?" Luka asked gently with a smile. Everyone's eyes fell on them, but shook their head and continued on their way. After all, nobody wants to mess with the Elites of the school if they want to be on their good side. Not that Rosela and her friends are bullies. It is just that their parents are the most popular in the city and the top contributors to the city and its government. Everybody, even the teachers, tries to suck up to them and get on their good sides. But Rosela and her friends know better. Rosela's parents are the owners of the libraries and space conservatories around StarTale City while her grandfather is the principal of the Star Charm Academy. Andres's, Luka's, and James's mother is a fashion model, their father a famous coach in various sports, and their uncle a famous musician. Lastly, Meeasha's adoptive parents are the Shining Steel Gadgets' owners, which produce the best gadgets in the city. Her biological parents died in one of the projects that are held by her adoptive parents for the company.  It can be clearly seen that their parents, guardians, and relatives did reflect well on their children as each tried to be good at what they see from the people who raised them.  Since they were young, Rosela, Luka, James, Andres, and Meeasha had always been together. Their parents always set up play dates for them because they think that the children who are considered the best in the city should always be together. They also thought that this may result in a good alliance in business someday when the children grew older. The five had always gotten along well which pleased their parents. It is not that they tried to befriend other people, but their parents warned them about the people who might use them because of their status in life in the city.  At the age of ten, they understood what their parents meant. Each of them was used by different people for their own wants when they were at Shimmer Elementary School for Gifted Childre. Rosela was used by a group of her classmates so that they would be able to skip classes for a week. They tricked Rosela that if she is able to have them out of the dirt they are in because of skipping classes, she would have the potential of being the best student in the class. Her grandfather eventually found out about this and the group of kids that used her got expelled. Rosela still got her punishment for letting the kids use her. Luka is usually quiet and the kids in his class trick him into giving them his school supplies (which his parents make sure are of the highest quality). James was forced by his teammates in junior basketball to introduce to his father a few of the school's students who want to be on the school's basketball team for popularity. The team ended up losing for a whole season and James ended up confessing about what happened. Andres was tricked multiple times to give away expensive clothes to his bullies. When his parents found out that a few of his clothes had gone missing, he ended up confessing. All of the three brothers' bullies had been immediately expelled. Meeasha was bullied because she is not the real daughter of the owners of the Shining Steel Gadgets and told her that she is not worthy to even be in their family. Her adoptive parents found out about this and are furious. They decided to report this to the school's principal and have the bullies expelled. Meeasha, on the other hand, had other things in mind. She wanted to prove to her bullies that they are wrong. A school event was soon held where the children who participated are tasked to make their own gadgets. Meeasha's bullies participated and she is aware of this. Meeasha had wanted to stay at her home and play games on her new smartphone, but ended up postponing her plan to spend time with the characters in her game and instead participated in the event. While her bullies made a robot dog that has the same abilities that real dogs have (except having to poo), Meeasha invented a tiny robot that is just the size of her palm. When she presented it at the fair, her bullies are the ones who laughed the loudest. Her adoptive parents are also present at the event because they are the sponsors. They were about to call the bullies off when Meeasha stopped them and showed them what her mini robot could do. Her robot is able to manage and arrange the things she needs to do, remind her of the things she has to do, clean up her mess (which comes in handy when she doesn't have time to clean her room because of her games), clean her gadgets from viruses, install new games, and even have time to play with her and her games on her gadgets. Having this much knowledge about making this robot at such a young age is all thanks to the people at her parent's company who always love to show her around and teach them how things work. Meeasha won the event. Her bullies were exposed by her parents and are immediately kicked out. Since then, their parents decided that the five should always be together. Every school year, they are assigned to the same classrooms with the same teachers and the same schedules. They figured that when the five are together, they are safer. Rosela's grandfather did not argue with this. Up until now, when the five are in their 16th years of age and are senior high schools at Star Charm Academy, they are happily unique and together. They are content, happy, and safe with each other and their friendship. They couldn't want anything more.
