A cold look could be seen on the councillor's face.
“I don't know what you are talking about?” The councillor said, his voice firm.
Hazel looked at him and realized that the councillor had a nervous expression on his face.
“I am not going to leave, until I get the truth,” Hazel said, determination could be seen in her voice.
An angry expression could be seen in the councillor's face.
“You're not in the position to demand anything,” The councillor said.
“I am the Alpha's betrothed, of course I have every right” Hazel said, looking at the councillor with a questionable gaze.
“I am not going to leave,” Hazel said as she stood her ground.
A cold look could be seen on the councillor's face.
“Very well then,” He said, his voice firm but had a hint of mischief in it.
“If you want to discover the truth, I'll give you clues” The councillor said.
“But you may not like what you hear” He added.
Hazel's heart was pounding in her chest, she was scared and at the same time, a determined expression on her face.
“I'm ready,” She said, her voice firm.
A cold expression was seen on the councillor's face.
“Let’s begin,” He said.
As the councillor began to speak, a nervous expression was seen on Hazel's face, She wasn't sure what she was getting herself into, but she was determined to it.
Hazel's heart was still racing from her confrontation with the councillor. She was determined to know the truth, and now she was determined to get to the bottom of the mysterious occurrence in the castle.
As she walked through the castle corridors, Hazel couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. The castle seemed quite unusual, and the shadows seemed to be moving in their own accord.
She approached the chambers, expecting to find them locked and secure. But as she reached out to the door handle, she was shocked to find out that the door was already open.
Hazel's eyes widened as saucers as she pushed open the door and stepped inside. Her chambers were in disarray, with papers all over the floor and furniture scattered.
“What's going on?” Hazel whispered to herself, her eyes scanning the room for any sign of what had caused the mess.
As she moved deeper into the room, Hazel noticed that the windows was open and the curtains were blowing in the running.
A shiver run through her spine, as she realized that someone must have been in her chambers while she was away.
“But who and why?” She pondered.
Hazel's mind was racing with questions as she began to search her chambers for any clues. She searched every corner of the room but she did not notice anything unusual.
As she stood there, trying to make sense of what she had found, Hazel couldn't shake off the feeling that she was being watched. She turned around but there was nobody there.
“What's going on?” Hazel thought to herself, her eyes scanning the room for any movement.
As she stood there, frozen with fear, Hazel heard a faint rustling sound coming from the corner of the room. She turned around, her hearts racing with expectation.
And then she saw it. A piece of paper, folded and tucked away in the corner of her room
Hazel's eyes widened and she took the paper and opened it. It was a note, written in an unrecognizable handwriting.
“Meet me in the garden at midnight,” The note read.
“Come alone,” The note added.
Hazel's heart was racing with excitement and fear.
“Who had written the note and what do they want from her?” She pondered.
As she stood there, trying to make sense of the note, Hazel couldn't shake off the feeling that her life was about to change forever.
“What if it is a trap?” She thought to herself.
“What if it is somebody that's trying to harm me,” She plunged into deeper thoughts.
But despite her fears, a curious expression could be seen on Hazel's face.
“Who was behind the note, and what did they want from her?” She pondered.
As she stood there weighing her options, Hazel knew that she had to make a decision. She had two options, ignoring the note and staying safe, or she could take a chance and see what had happened.
As she looked at the note again, Hazel knew that she had to make a decision. She was going to meet whoever that wrote the note and she was going to find out what they wanted.
With a sense of determination, Hazel folded the paper and tucked it in her pocket. She was determined to face whatever lay ahead, and she was determined to uncover the truth.
Hazel pushed open the door to the chambers, her hearts racing with anticipation. She had been feeling so down and anxious lately, she wasn't sure of what to expect.
But as she entered the room, her eyes landed on a familiar face, and her anxiety began to melt away.
It was her bosom friend, Avery, sitting on top of her bed with a warm smile on her face.
“Hazel!” Avery exclaimed, jumping from the bed to envelope Hazel in a warm hug.
“I'm so glad that you are here, I was beginning to grow worried,” She added.
A relief expression could be seen on her face as she hugged Avery back.
She had been feeling so alone and overwhelmed lately, it was nice to have someone to talk to.
“I am sorry, I'm late, I had a meeting with the councillor,” Hazel said as she pulled back from the hug.
“It took longer than expected,” She added.
Avery's eyes widened with interest.
“What was the reason for the meeting?” Avery asked.
Hazel sat down, exhaustion could be seen in her countenance.
“He was asking me about the wild wolf,” Hazel replied shaking her head.
“I don't know what is going on but I feel like I am in the middle of something big,” She added.
