SUMMER'S BLOSSOM

CHAPTER 3 A Misunderstanding.

Dim light shot through the room and Yei Kai Squinted his eyes. His head felt heavy as he tried hard to pry his eyes open. The soothing fragrance of Summer's fresh blossom serenaded the room. It was a familiar fragrance, one that he knew too well. It was the smell of Blossom, his personal maid. He wanted to scream out at her but when he tried to turn around, his arms felt numb. He pause to look at Blossom sleeping peacefully in his arms. The sight looked so cute and something tugged at his heart. Memories of last night flooded back into his mind as unconsciously tugged a strand of hair behind her ears. How did he end up sleeping with his mortal enemy? But honestly, the person lying peacefully in his arms looked quite different from the ugly girl he knew. He looked at the burn scar on the right side of her face, somehow, she looked beautiful even with the scar. Sometimes, he'd wonder what had scarred her face so terribly. But he had never dared to ask. He smiled at the sight in front of him. As if she could feel his stare on him, she stirred in her sleep and like a possessed cat, her eyes flung open, she leapt out of the bed, dragging the covers over her chest.

"Yei Kai Chu! How dare you take advantage of me?" She yelled, and somehow, something pierced deeply within Yei Kai's heart. What was he thinking? Was he expecting her to accept what happened last night with smiles? He was grateful that she saved him from that scheming b***h last night, but he couldn't let her know it, he couldn't let her step out of her boundaries and take advantage of his indulgence. He looked coldly at her face.

"I took advantage of you? I'm the crippled one here, how dare you throw yourself at me Blossom Yang? " He spat coldly, his eyes were icy and his voice was like a two edged sword, so sharp that even he flinched at his own words. Tears welled out of Blossom's eyes as she bit her lips hard trying hard to control her tears. Yei Kai looked away.

"You..." She started then trailed off.

"I told you to go home, why did you come here? " He asked sternly.

" I... "

" Didn't you plan all these? Didn't you hire the actress to deceive me just to prove a point? You hate Summer so much, do you think you can replace her? " He said sternly.

" Summer will never love you!" Blossom yelled.

"She'll hate you forever" She added angrily.

"Blossom Yang!" Yei Kai yelled angry for real. He has been feeling guilty for taking advantage of her, but she has gone too far. How dare she drag Summer into this? Even if he and Summer doesn't end up together, who was she to utter Summer's name? He leapt to the edge of the bed and yanked at her throat, she choked. His eyes were red with fury and Blossom has never seen that much anger in them before. She panicked.

"Blossom Yang, you're nothing to me, you should really know your limits" with that, he threw her to the floor, Blossom was surprised at his strength, she coughed hard, trying to catch her breathe. The storm outside was brewing furiously and there was no way to go out of the Club.

"Get out of here, I don't want to see your ugly face" He commanded coldly. Blossom stood up, she walked into the bathroom and stopped dead on her tracks as she looked at her ripped clothes on the floor.

"Yei Kai Chu!" She yelled angrily and marched back into the room.

" Are you an animal? Did you have to rip my clothes off?" She yelled and Yei Kai ignored her completely. He looked away and a mischievous smile escaped his lips. He picked up his phone and Texted Yu Bai, his PA to bring over some clothes. The storm was beginning to subside, enough to risk a ride.

"Just get outta my sight" Yei Kai said sternly.

"Annoying crippled Dog" she muttered picking up the ripped clothes, she threw them at Yei Kai's face then stormed back into the bathroom.

"What a Shrew" he muttered. Soon enough, Yu Bai arrived under the storm, looking pretty disheveled.

"What took you so long?" Yei Kai asked sternly.

"There's a storm outside and I believe you already know that" Yu Bai said casually.

" Did you bring what I asked? " He asked ignoring Yu Bai's words.

" I brought it" Yu Bai replied handing him a bag.

"Find out who's behind that fake Summer Yang, and make her disappear from Country H" He commanded.

" Yes Boss" Yu Bai responded.

" Blossom is allergic to Woody fragrance, just like Summer. She bad-mouthed Summer, you know what to do" Yei Kai added looking at Yu Bai. Yu Bai nodded with understanding.

"What are you still waiting for?" Yei Kai asked glaring at Yu Bai.

" Me? " He replied pointing at himself then he looked behind him.

"Do you want Blossom to come out of the bathroom and meet you here? " Yei Kai scolded.

" Oh, I get it now" He said hurrying out. Immediately, Blossom stepped out of the bathroom, wrapped around in a white towel.

"There are clothes in that bag change into it and get out of my sight" Yei Kai spat coldly.

" Dog" Blossom cursed, yanking the bag from the bed. She went into the bathroom and changed into the clothes then came out. She picked up her bag from the floor and headed for the door.

"Clean every nook and cranny of my room once you get home and don't leave a point unturned" He commanded and she paused. She wanted to argue with him, but she stopped herself.

"Forget it, this will be the last time" she told herself.

"One last time Summer Blossom Yang. You can take this in. After today, no more" she told herself silently before stepping out of the room.
