I watched as the young woman walked down the aisle. I have yet to meet her, yet my heart felt as though I had known her my entire life. I watched anxiously as she walked, her silver hair falling so gently around her pale face. The train of her grey wedding dress dragging on the floor so elegantly. My heart began racing as the wolf inside of me paced around excitedly. Could she be the one I have searched my whole life to find? She must be...he wouldn't sit still and let me concentrate. When a wolf's mate was concerned, it was always best to let the wolf lead the way. I nodded in silent understanding as he howled inside of me.
Time seemed to slow down as I felt myself being led to her. Yes. My mate. I found her! A single thought popped into my head as I stared into those deep sparkling blue eyes. The subjects in my kingdom weren't the most...how do I put this? They weren't the most welcoming bunch. If they were not a wolf, they were unwanted. How would they react to a queen who is of elemental decent? Someone who can bend the shadows to her whim? I managed to evade one war happily. But can I stop a war that may arise in my very own kingdom?

Leo was born to rule. After years of trying to conceive, his parents had finally given birth after praying day in and day out to the moon goddess for help. They decided to show their ultimate appreciation by offering him the moon goddess' eternal gift. They decided to name him Leo after one of her own star-born children. The moon goddess was so pleased with the gift she bestowed upon him the attributes of his namesake. Knowing he soon would grow to be the best King Lycansbane had ever had.
Many years later, his kingdom is under threat from the elemental kingdom of Primordial. The last thing the new king wants is bloodshed and war. So he tries to settle this peacefully agreeing to marry their daughter for the safety and alliance between kingdoms. Upon bringing his new bride home, there is civil unrest about a wolf queen not being present. The kingdom divides as a civil war arises. Some were already willing to die to protect her. Others are willing to tear apart the kingdom to remove her from the throne. Can Leo live up to the expectations of the moon goddess and save his kingdom from its downfall?
