The Black Lotus curse, it is a curse that has plagued the earth from the moment mortals were able to wield the magic of the earth, it was once said that the curse originated when the first wielder had broken his oath to the nymph who had granted him the knowledge to use magic. But the people inflicted by the curse didn't just break an ordinary oath, it was a sacred oath, one that was given to the Beatitudes, a promise towards the earth, to the Fates and to the Goddess herself. As such the people who broke these oaths are marked with a lotus flower as dark as the abyss, the flower that the nymph had held in her hand the day the oath was broken.
The flower will appear as a bud at a person’s wrist, and it's roots will grow around the accursed arm until it reaches the heart while the flower
