As the light receded the villagers opened their eyes and saw some changes that occurred, the trees some began to blossom, shrubs and flowers were blooming, and even the sky itself looked bluer that it used to be, there was life everywhere they looked. Yla herself was surprised with the changes, she felt everything from the tips of her toes to the ends of her hair, it was like the magic of the world was cycling around her. She couldn’t believe how a single oath brought about so much change, but as a result she was bound to the magical source, never she must never allow it to be away from her, she smiled, as if a part of her mother was with her, she could imagine her parents’s smiling faces looking at her with pride, she had finally succeeded her mother’s duty. She felt that from that day forward she knows things will be more interesting and many good things will be coming their way. Yla couldnt help but smile to herself thinking how surprised Ogami will be when he sees her again.
The oath the Yla gave has not only brought changes in the North of Clest, but it reached to all corners of the country. Ogami fell off his chair and he was shaking vigorously, having a seizure. His aide and the other servants that were with him screamed and went over to him but nothing they did stopped his seizure, and like how it came Ogami stopped. Ogami laid motionless on the floor, he was breathing heavily, beads of cold sweat were on his brow, his face candle white. Panicked, the servants called Agima, the servants caught him in his laboratory, he too was pale, but when he heard that his brother had fell unconscious he rushed to his side. Agima found Ogami lying on the sofa in the library with his aid by his side, Ogami was stone cold and he felt spiritless. Agima placed his ear on this chest, a faint and slow heartbeat. Heavy breaths that religiously came and blank expressionless eyes. Agima has never seen his brother this state, his mind was racing, trying to think of a spell to get him back to normal, and without warning he began to utter an incantation for restoration and healing,
“Earth, fire, water and air
Blood and bone
Through breaths and heartbeats
Wound time back and restore”
Orbs of light began to rise from the ground and moving towards Ogami’s body, Agima watched as the lights began to pass through Ogami, at first it felt as if it wasn't working but soon Ogami’s color began to return and warmth was returning to his body.
Ogami was floating in the middle of the ocean of candle light, there was nothing beneath him nor anything above him, he was surrounded by candle light, each light provided him with warmth, no light was the same as the last, from a young age he understood that each burning flame represented a person, a place or a thing that held magic. Each flame is different from the next, from the color, the feel, the intensity, and brightness. Away from where he stood a bright flame erupted drowning all other lights around it. He shielded his eyes, but as the light touched his being a warm sensation engulfed him; all the other flames burned brighter as if the eruption had fueled all others. Ogami reached out to the embers that flew around him and soon as his hand made contact a familiar magic swept over him, it made him feel good, he wanted more of it, he never wanted to stop - it was addicting. Out of the blue as he was high with the sensation Yla’s face came into his mind - a sharp ding shot through his mind, Yla!
Ogami opened his eyes, he was unaware what was happening, he saw his brother’s face over him, he was pallid. Agima’s expression was of horror as he stared at him, at first he couldnt figure out where he was but slowly he realized he was home, in the library, but the world felt different. Noticing orbs of light going through him, he realized it was the energy of the earth restoring him. But apart from the healing magic Ogami can feel it, the magic of the earth seeping into his body, so much power but not out of control. His senses were ringing, they were going insane with the amount of magic coursing through him and through the earth.
Controlling his breathing, he stretched his senses to encompass the land of clest, he touched all known sources they were in place, but so much more was coming from the North, he hesitated to look, but the lure of the immense amount of magic was impossible to resist; he stretched his senses to the north, to Fadia, there he felt it, there he found something, a power that had long been lost, “alive”, words escaped his lips.
Agima, thinking that his brother was delirious shook him vigorously, but all Ogami could say was, “it's alive, brother”, he said repeatedly, tears began to well in his eyes, but Agima couldn’t comprehend his cryptic statements.
“What’s wrong with you Ogami!?” his voice panicked
Ogami’s hand covered half of his face, slowly getting up, Agima dissolved the orbs of light as he sat, “Forgive me brother”, he said his voice was a bit shaking, “too much magic... my body could only take so much”, he reasoned, he was unsure how to explain the experience.
“For the love of the Fates! You know better than most to allow you body to be a medium for a long period of time. It could have driven you to insanity! Or worse, you could have died.” Agima was exhausted, “you reckless i***t!”
“Did you feel it too?” Ogami called after his brother as he was about to leave him, seeing that he was already recovering, Agima only stared at him, “so much power” he said, “there was so much magic. Magic that was beyond my control, it fueled my being, it was addicting. When I felt it, I wanted to own it, I wanted it for myself. It's alive brother, alive! It's power is beyond imagination!”
“You are not making sense Ogami!” But despite somehow understanding what he meant, as he too felt the surge of energy run into his veins, but he wasn't as receptive as his brother so he didn't fainted as he did, but he couldn’t understand the reason for it.
Ogami looked him straight in the eye, he lips were quivering a bit, but his face was serious, “The Light of Fadia has returned Brother”.
