Chapter 10: Milk RunJUST AFTER EIGHT IN THE evening, Cole strolled into the boot shop. The girl behind the corner seemed to know why he was there, and she nodded towards the back door. Pushing the door open and walking in, Cole smelled the tanned leather and sawdust, remembering his last encounter there. It gave him the chills, as he thought back to the dark room in Panama on his first night and the concussive blast that rattled his brain. Cole quickly re-focused on the task ahead. Juan was seated in the corner, wearing jeans and a black t-shirt, and Cole wondered if he might end up killing Juan, just as he had David. Cole had opted for shorts, his running shoes, and a linen shirt, halfway unbuttoned. The two looked at each other in a game of wits. Juan smiled. “Hola, Ben. You are ready?”
