Mindy finished preparing the food and cutlery before heading up to Nick’s room to change her clothes. Since Nick was still missing, she felt compelled to join Axel and Charles on their trip to the farm. As she got into the car, she noticed that Axel was already seated inside.
"Dad mentioned that your mom wasn’t feeling well, which is why you came looking for me. How is she holding up?"
"Her progress was good. She recently underwent heart surgery and is currently in the process of recuperating." She smiled as their eyes met in the rear-view mirror. She didn't want to be odds with Axel. If given the opportunity, she would work on repairing the relationship between the brothers. Afterall, Axel is her brother-in-law. Fiona was the only one who truly believed she was a villain in her life.
