When he reached the bed he realised she was fast asleep. She was curled down on the pillow and her hair was falling over her shoulders and one hand with slim fingers was lying limply on top of the sheet. He stood looking down at her thinking how lovely and ethereal she was and how different from any other women he had ever known.
