  A short while later, Carson stopped, so she did. With that grave look, he confronted Valine.   Valine crossed her arms, and her rust-colored hair fluttered in the passing breeze. "What do you want to tell me exactly?"   Carson exhaled. "The Alpha just departed a moment ago"   Valine arched an eyebrow, "He was just at the dining hall earlier."
