Anna tried her best to compose herself as she approached Kane and Tony in the dandelion fields. Tony, ever the perceptive one, excused himself with a sly grin, leaving the two alone.
“I’ll leave you two to your Wolf discovering and all that,” He said with a playful smirk, patting Anna’s shoulder before waving at Kane.
“Anna’s saved you this time but next time,” He shook his head, “I won’t be so generous,”
Kane scoffed and crossed his arms over his slick chest, “You wish,”
Tony tutted as he walked away, leaving Anna and Kane alone in the dandelion fields.
Kane wiped the sweat off his brow with the back of his hand, his gaze never leaving Anna’s. She couldn’t help but notice the way his eyes seemed to darken with a mix of desire and something else she couldn’t quite place.
