“Kane?”
She called out again just to be certain that she wasn’t mistaken. Anna took a step back, again, there was no way to go as the hard bark of the tree caught her and dug into her back. Kane’s eyes looked and a look of frustration replaced the guilt that was on his face only a few seconds ago.
May was there. Right behind them.
Kane straightened up and turned around in turn, stepping away from Anna’s front and allowing Anna’s and the redhead’s eyes to meet.
May’s hair was in it’s usual tight bun today, she wore pants surprisingly and paired it up with a T-shirt that stopped just above her thighs.
It was almost annoying how she managed to own every look and look so good in everything.
