"Calm down Justin, it's just a speech...I understand that you haven't been here for long but your popularity between the students is just..wow..and you are in fact the highest donor so please you might have to co operate with us" miss Sunshine said with a smile Justin looked at her and then at the paper he had set on the table "Fine.." he agreed and then stood up "Great..you can both go ahead and practice" Just grabbed the paper and walked out of the room without looking back, Sofia smiled at the principal and immediately ran out to follow him "Wait!" she yelled as she ran after him and finally caught up with him "I hope you do understand that the only reason I'm doing this is because of my parents right?" he asked not even sparing her a glance Sofia looked up at him as they walked side by side and sighed "I know..I just thought maybe we could be friends " He stopped in his tracks and looked at her Sofia's heart beat increased as she gazed into his eyes, she felt butterflies in her tummy and it made her weak in the knees “You say ‘friends,’” he murmured, “but your face keeps telling a different story.” Sofia blushed and looked down at her shoes before looking back up, only to see that he had walked away from her. she looked at his back as it drifted further and further away from her "Sofia, you might have a chance " she said to herself, "Uh..wait up!" she yelled and ran to him By the time school was over, the news of Justin and Sofia being seen together in the hallway was everywhere In the library, while Jenna was trying to read, Lizzy kept pacing around as she looked at her phone "They were just talking in the hallway what's all the fuss about?" Jenna asked her eyes still on the book "Just talking?..and she blushed?" Lizzy asked "It says right here in this weird school platform that she blushed..it even has a picture..." "That could have been forged..."Jenna said as she looked at her Lizzy sat opposite her "I know that you are the most unbothered person about this news but at least show some expression" "Expression? what possible expression could I have for this...two of my enemies are supposedly in love...as long as they aren't plotting to kill me...I don't see why they can't be together" Jenna said "ugh!" lizzy scoffed and kept scrolling on her phone "So..your attending the event right?" "Yeah..I have to anyway Sydney is going to be giving the official student speech that day" "Why didn't they choose you?" Lizzy asked "Why ask? I'm already hated by the entire school" “They don’t hate you, Jenna. They just already decided who they want you to be and you didn’t follow the script.”lizzy held her hand Jenna smiled "I'm so grateful to have you as a friend " she said and they hugged "Come on... let's go grab some chicken wings..bills on me" Lizzy said as they broke the hug Jenna packed her books in her bag and put them in her bag and walked away with Lizzy. As they got to the gate, a car pulled up beside them and Jenna groaned "Just when I thought my day couldn't get worse"she said The window of the driver's seat rolled down and Justin's handsome face came in view “Wow,” he said dryly, “you always look like life owes you an apology.” He smirked, rolled the window back up, and drove off before she could respond. Jenna looked at the car as it drove off and raised her hand to give him a middle finger but he had already drove off "Let's just go..we can't let him ruin such a wonderful day for us" Lizzy said as she grabbed her hand and led the way In another car, Sofia sat at the back as she listened to the praises Zaza and Molly showered her "Omg girl, u literally pulled Justin moore.the whole school can't stop talking about it " Zaza smiled Sofia let out a soft laugh, tucking her hair behind her ear. “Justin’s just… comfortable around me,” she said gently. “I don’t force things. I let people be themselves.” Zaza grinned. “That’s why he likes you!” Sofia smiled wider, all innocence. “Maybe,” she said. “Some girls just try too hard to be… different.” Molly frowned slightly. “Different how?” Sofia tilted her head, thoughtful. “You know,” she said lightly, “always defensive, always angry at the world. It can be exhausting.” She glanced out the window, voice still soft. “I just think if someone wants attention, there are nicer ways to ask for it.” Zaza nodded slowly. “Yeah…” Sofia’s smile didn’t fade. “But hey,” she added sweetly, “everyone shines in their own way. Some people just choose chaos.” Sofia’s smile softened even more, almost kind. “I mean… Jenna’s not a bad person,” she said gently. “She just has this habit of turning every room tense.” Zaza shifted in her seat. Sofia continued, voice calm, polite. “Some girls mistake attitude for personality.” Molly’s smile faltered. Sofia shrugged lightly. “But I guess not everyone was raised to know the difference.” The car went quiet. Zaza stared out the window. Molly swallowed. Sofia leaned back, still smiling.
